“Interkarma” Clayton has finally released a fully featured version of " Daggerfall Unity - The GOG Cut" ; a remastered version of the all-time RPG classic from The Elder Scrolls series. The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall was released in 1996 as a fantasy open world RPG and is regarded as one of the most amazing RPG's of all time.. With it being ported over to Unity, you'll be able to experience this wonder with high res textures and high grade visuals and even mouse look!
Seems like it's time to finally give this one a shot for the first time
Especially since ES6 is far far away and will probably be shite since I predict pagliderplio taking over by that time, and if you thought the toddster is bad, well, just wait and see

Bloody hell! That was amazing 5220x1440 daggerfall! Love it!
Now give me a MM6: Mandate Of Heaven and i wont be needing any other game for...like...well...ever
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.
I still play MM6 from time to time, as 90's games go i'd say its holds up pretty well in both gameplay and graphics , not a lot of other games from that period i can still force myself to play, mm6 is just fun.

I play it every year actually, but what I mean is that I want it with a new game engine. I don't want anything else changed other than better textures and higher resolution. I concider it to be the best rpg ever made.

Yup, replay MM6-8 every handful of years Would love an update version
Also, Yay for ES1, gonna give it a go, tried some 10y back, but it was way too obsolete/obtuse to be enjoyable.
Did the first dungeon, fast-traveled to Daggerfall and holy shit it's huge. Like the video says, only some of the buildings matter but even then, dayum.
Was completely overwhelmed by the dialog interface with NPC's though, holy shit
For now I think I'll stick with Morrowind... in fact, going to pick it up where I left off around a year back

OK, this remake is fantastic (as in: it makes this game playable by today's standards, and the remake of the whole engine/graphics is spot-on), no doubt there
BUT (and the mod/remake's not at fault here), the game is dreadfully outdated in it's mechanics to stand the test of time: Dungeons offer no diversity, just the same barren, endless corridors filled with the occasional mob. A solid build from the start allows you to breeze through the game too.
Only bad decision I made was to roll a dark elf, everybody hated me and didn't want to answer, so finding "house x" in a capital was just tedious.
Also, except for books, no world building at all in the quests "oh, it's you (player's name). I need you to go to (random place) to get The Sacred Dildau from the cold hands of Lying Ted".
Rince & repeat.
Doing guild quests just allows you to use crafting benches, and they consist of fetch quests, or "kill this type of monster", then some random dungeon generates likes all sorts of mobs and one of the needed type, that again, you have to go through endless corridors in a barf-inducing architecture to find where that special mob randomly popped.
It aged POORLY in that, and, IMO, MM6-8 SURPASS it greatly.
Sure, the world isn't the size of the UK or whatever, but they are packed with things and dungeons, not just a barren wasteland just randomly punctuated by a hovel.
Please use this type of process to remake those games, please :>
i tried it for a while and nah, while it's cool to see what they have done and how such an old game can look and play more modern - that's the only thing that it has going for it (imo), the gameplay itself, no thanks!
