Im rly baffled how this show as gone woke, and yes, it has..
They must have a writter that isnt woke, and a writter that is indeed woke, and you can tell they are battling each other on every episode, it ranges from having fun at woke stuff in one moment (like those stands with the WOKE WOKE food or whatever it was called) to dialog where a char is asked if they want a male or female child and he answers "we dont really see gender like that", and moments later you get this feminist garbage agenda propaganda of empowerment when a female char asks a male char "whats the matter ? dont be afraid of a powerful woman" its just wayyyy too much but i never seen a show beein woke and anti woke at the same time.
There are way more examples but i CBA and im wondering how not many ppl are noticing this, some did and they justifiy it with plot related things but i dont buy that, its very agenda driven, skewing way more towards male toxicity than anything else, they are going hard with the starlight subplot and the actress not only looks ill (she looks like she needs a burger) because she is on that hollywood diet but she is behaving in such an erratic way compared to last season, almost like they are using her to be this woke bitch that takes shit from no one for whatever reason.
And dont get me started on how they cover the boobs and nudity on females and yet you have a full frontal of males and uretras, if they did that to a female, the media would cancel this show, talk about double standards, either do it to both genders or dont do it at all, i dont see how u can be a male and watch this show and be ok with it, unless you are a huge cuck.
They went so hard on the gore and violence that i think its actualy distracting ppl from discussing these elements of the show, or im just in the minority and ppl convince themselves its not there, it was a brilliant show on the first season, and the second one was woke garbage too for the most part, and now by ep 2/3 u can see they are going even harder with that crap

This is a smartly written show. It has gone woke, but in contrast to all the Disney shit (which is unenjoyable), this show did it a lot smarter and still has a very high entertainment value.
The way they do woke in this show is in three steps:
1. take legit anti-woke (or sometimes blue-collar, republican) arguments
2. make caricatures of the arguments (simplify)
3. give the newly created simplification in the mouth of cynical, power hungry characters like Homelander
Now, the balance is a lot better in the show, because every now and then they do mock woke culture as well, like the Pepsi commercial satire. But the balance is still off.
I have to hand it to the writers: they are doing this in a smart fashion.
I enjoy the fuck out of this season, even though it is political.
TLDR: yes, it has gone woke, but it is still vastly superior to any Marvel-shit, and it is still a good show.

They'd be even smarter removing any woke message whatsoever. I have no clue what they achieve with it tbh. Woke people will still be woke, regular humans will still be regular humans. namedropping some woke causes etc isn't going to change anything.
And i'm not here to have my political ideals challenged in the first place, i just want to watch the damn show.

Ye i also mentioned the same example you did on why this show as gone woke and gave some examples where they are indeed woke mocking and the next minute they are going full woke, they clearly have people that are NOT on the woke bandwagon, its appaling how they greenlit both of the writtings though, into the same episode.
Some ppl here are way to convinced this is the anti woke show, and it was, on the first season, after the second one, they got some new ppl writting these woke nonsense lines and it doesnt go well with them still having some anti woke material going on, this show doesnt know what it wants to be anymore, i still enjoy seeing homelander but even he is getting severely undermined with the starlight storyline, that char did a complete 180, multiple times during the course of 3 episodes.

Well there are a lot of closet woke people trying to play it that way. "Im not woke, but this aint woke type of arguments". With no examples its: give concrete example. With examples its hostile reactions or gaslighting. Always moving goalposts and angry reactions instead of just fucking acknowledging what we should all know by now and either support it or not.
Hostile reactions says it all though. You wouldnt react in a volatile way for something you dont care about.
