Naturally there is something that forbids devs running to forums etc calling their game shit
Yes, it's called employment, but they don't work there anymore
Wouldn't they first have to prove their engine isn't a piece of crap? (good luck with that ) How is it different to saying their engine is amazing? It's just an opinion. He doesn't say 'we added X, Y and Z to the engine'.
Oh no, the "tho" guy has spoken. Please, we all know what Bethesda games are like. It's not going to look like the best looking games out there, and the engine is bad. Oh wow, okay thanks. I'll play the shit out of this game for hundreds of hours . . or not if they somehow manage to shut down free mods.
i think they realized and the stats show that nobody sofar gives two fucks about this game sofar , and they need 6 months extra of coming up and spreading tod tell me lies tell me sweet little lies to get people hyped
get ready for tod starting to do interviews n fake scripted videos spreading total bullshit
To me this is more like a playground for the future Fallout 5 rather than a special innovative IP, basically No Man's Sky with a higher production budget
Since good writing is out of the picture with Bethesda I was hoping the gunplay at least could be engaging, but that didn't look impressive either to be honest (no gore, amateurish feedback..bit of a sad trombone). Space combat looked better, though everything was running at a tragically cinematic framerate.
The exploration will probably make or break the game for me, especially the idea of encountering a procedurally generated dick-shaped Todd
yeah gun feedback was off. Its hopefully something that can be fixed though still.
It was a bit telling that they mentioned procedural scale planets but didn't actually show any fly by's or similar. I'm pretty confident those cities are gonna be separately loaded zones, and then the procedural planet will still adhere to Bethesda game engine style tiling. So no real seamless game world, but rather isolated procedural zones. Maybe they'll surprise, but given they're still using the original engine, just heavily modified, my hopes aren't too high.
Star citizen, for all its ridiculous problems, still has that scale going for it. It's an impressive feat that deserves recognition.
any more info out there about them going back more to their RPG roots with this game, which was the main reason to be even somewhat excited..?
From what i saw there was no mention of it. Not that it would be surprising if it's totally scrapped.
"Todd Howard, the Starfield game director, and Istvan Pely, the game’s lead artist, say Starfield is expected to deliver the same character depth similar to those found in older, hardcore RPGs" this was said some months ago..
graphics were as expected, pretty poor.
