havent played fifa 22 more than ~10 hrs when it came out, cancelled my ea subscriptions (only have the normal one now that comes with game pass ultimate, havent played more than 1 hour with that)
dont have high hopes for this one, imho no prob that they got rid of the name. doesnt involve any other licenses though. for me its their last chance to rescue the franchise -> pc version on the level of series x and ps5 and atleast crossplay between pc and xbox with proper netcode and cheat protection. otherwise they can fuck off

Yeah, it just means no more "World Cup" and "FIFA" specific branding, but all the leagues and player likenesses they have remain.
PES wasn't mocked for lacking "FIFA", it was mocked for being retarded in graphics, animations, AI, sound, etc. It used to be considered the best football game back 20 years ago, but it has remained the same in some ways as 20 years ago, and regressed to much worse, in others.
It would be interesting to see another option besides the pretty but shallow card simulator and...whatever abhorrent entity PES has become these days. Not holding my hopes up though, it's either FifachinKo or someone else with a streamlined vision of football designed to satisfy the pinball aficionados while delivering brand new ways to turn poor kids into digital addicts. - Really, really good physics. Beautiful animations are nothing if the physics suck.
- Refreshing game modes:
- 11 vs 11,
- Indoor 5 vs 5, 2 vs 2 etc..
- Street football
- Beach football
- 2 teams one goal
- Proper online game with no restricted crap like not being able to filter out certain areas, countries, skill levels etc..
It's not that hard. If only they could spend 5% of their budget on the actual game itself.

My bet is on a stupid mobile game which they can monetize even more than the previous console games. A good console/PC game is pretty much nigh impossible for the forseeable future, so they might just lean into the cashgrab methods all the way.
