Quite good.. but I can't help feel that Patrick Stewart is waaaay too old. His voice is trembling, he moves like the geriatric he is etc.
Oh well, it's what we got. They could've gone with Jonathan Frakes (Riker) but he'd obviously fail to draw the same "nerd-star power" that Admiral/Capt. Picard does.

Was ok, i've given up on new trek but RLM made me watch it. I don't think this writing team can pull it off.
Its a really odd show as its supposed to appeal to trek fans that are older and watched the staple TV shows, why would you bother with Picard, Q, Whoopi, 7of9 etc. no young people care about that. Yet they go with this weird star wars action shit, laser battles (they couldn't even skip the laser fight with 30 recruits being stunned in this 1 opening episode). The writing for whoopi was terrible, spent all this time explaining away her aging that was totally unnecessary.
Star Trek wasn't laser battles every 5 minutes, why do they force the lasers on us?!

Yep I watched a few eps and stopped around episode 4.. its just a really bad show not much to say, the writing team don't know how to write science fiction or star trek.
All the new trek kinda sucks, 2/3 of the movies are watchable, the last one is pretty good actually. All new shows unwatchably bad,vhow has this Guy been signed to produce 6 or so crap Trek shows, i do not understand. Orville really is the best/closest we've had to something good.

If I was the guy that created the Enterprise F for that old Star Trek Online contest years ago to create the next Enterprise for the game, I would be pretty excited to see my creation in a live action show and not just in the game. It will be interesting to see if they have the same Andorian Captain for the Enterprise as they have in the game.
