Lego games ironically tend to be the best, most ambitious franchised games, too bad they're still designed for kids first and foremost Laughing
This should be fun in co-op as always Very Happy

Something much more... 'lighthearted' couldn't hurt nowadays. Au contraire.

Seems decent enough, just wish this effort could've been spent into something like a new Jedi Knight game instead. LEGO is just so fricking ugly, even as a kid i always hated how the characters looked in comparison to e.g the kenner star wars figures.

Actually thats why i like them, you can turn your head off and just enjoy some funny lore. Its like playing Super Mario or Zelda, you dont get too old for that stuff.

Always worth a play through in coop with the missus, those games are perfect for a laid back (baked) couch potato gaming experience - but yeah do I wish half of this effort went into a JK game Very Happy
Fallen Order was alright but it was a modern Tomb Raider game with a Star Wars skin slapped on it, decent enough but I couldn't get through it - been there, done that.

Most Lego characters are still more attractive than the average American. Higher IQ in most cases too.

Not only this, the whole "open world" aspect is way better fleshed out than previous games, love it myself and the new engine also shows and does the rest for the experience.

I always thought its just the older games with some upgrades and additions, but its a completly new game with the techtrees, hints you can buy and gamemechanics they heavily improved. Not gonna lie its really glorious and definetly worth the money in all regards when you enjoyed the older iteriations.

It is quite glorious but it has some framerate issues. Episode 2 Geonosis mission for example was especially bad with fps dropping to 25...

Turn off Adaptive VSync and check the resolution setting, had only 50fps myself till i noticed that the resolution setting also includes fps, so you have more than of them wioth different caps

like 3440x1440 (50), then 3440x1440 (60) and so on. 100 was uncapped so i went for 90 and since then its flawless apart from cutscenes, they seem to suffer from microstutter or are 30fps upscaled, dunno

The 'voice acting' in this is... Rolling Eyes

Why oh why didn't they use the ORIGINAL voices from the movies?! Grrr...

Other than that... It's better than Elden Ring®

I’m thinking of getting this and trying it out with my son. Can the FLT release be played with a ps4 controller by chance? I’ve actually never hooked up a ps4 controller to my pc before hah. I’ve read it’s possible to do so with steam games, but wasn’t sure if ISODemos worked fine as well.

Despite the cartoony graphics, this might be the best Star Wars game ever Laughing (that's based on the movies)

The game is absolutely massive, too. Has all the planets (+ surrounding space too), all the characters (+ different outfits), etc. As I heard in a review, it's the ultimate celebration of Star Wars.

The humor is really good too, some jokes will go over a lot of people's heads unless you're a big fan, showing the devs truly love the matarial.

Finished all the nine episodes and I really had a blast. Also the voice acting comes really close most of the time and they nailed the Star Wars atmosphere with all the planets, environments and fitting music.

Such a shame its just a two person coop, not four Sad

I agree, but it would require some levels to be redesigned since at times there are only two characters in the "party", and some of the puzzles were designed to be solved using just the two, four characters could overly simplify things in many cases.
