Radeon performance metrics and logging features may intermittently report extremely high and incorrect memory clock values.
Radeon FreeSync™ may intermittently become locked while on desktop after performing task switching between extended and primary displays upon closing a game, causing poor performance or stuttering. A system restart is a potential workaround if this is experienced.
If Ryzen Master is not detected in Adrenalin software after installation, a system restart may be required.
If Blue or Black screen is observed in mobile systems, temporarily disable Enhanced sign-in

AMD Link for Windows Known Issues

Intermittent grey frame corruption might be observed when streaming with HEVC on certain configurations via an Internet connection. A workaround is to use the AVC encoding setting instead.

Nice. No to have the time to try this shit out.

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Seems to me these drivers introduce more issues than they fix with each version. Everything was fine but things have been kinda wonky when dual monitors are on and randomly sluggish while streaming videos while doing anything else (video rendering/gaming). And driver timeouts up the ass.
I was able to use two monitors smoothly with 2009 hardware wtf is going on here? also there seems to be a battle between winshit updates and amd drivers causing random bullshit.

tl;dr: I need a fresh windows install. These motherfuckers fucked my shit up.

Modern monitors also introduce all kinds of problem, which i have not ever seen before. My 49" samsung ultrawide was working so badly on 6900XT, nothing helped, then i upgraded firmware on the monitor itself and everything has been flawless after that.

Quote:

Radeon™ Software Adrenalin 21.9.1 Highlights
Support For
Deathloop™
Call of Duty® Vanguard Open Beta
AMD Smart Access Memory on Radeon™ RX 5000 Series Graphics

Added Vulkan® Support
VK_KHR_zero_initialize_workgroup_memory
This extension allows implementations to use the null constant initializer on shader workgroup memory variables. This in turn allows applications that run untrusted content to defeat memory-scraping attacks.
VK_KHR_shader_integer_dot_product
This extension adds support for the integer dot product SPIR-V instructions defined in SPV_KHR_integer_dot_product. The SPV_KHR_integer_dot_product extension allows dot product operations on integer vectors with optional accumulation. In addition to allowing dot product operations for all input vector types, it also allows integer dot product for 4-component vectors of 8-bit integers that are packed into 32-bit integers.
VK_EXT_shader_atomic_float2
This extension provides shaders with the capability to perform 16-bit floating-point atomic operations on buffer and workgroup memory. It additionally allows floating-point atomic minimum and maximum operations on buffer, workgroup, and image memory.
VK_EXT_load_store_op_none
This extension allows an application to specify the contents within the render area that will not modified or can be expected to be undefined after rendering.

Fixed Issues
Visual artifacts in PAYDAY™ 2 may be observed during gameplay on some AMD Graphics products such as Radeon™ RX 6800 XT.

Preview driver for Halo Infinite
https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/RN-RAD-WIN-HALO-INFINITE-MP

And Blender
https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-21-40-beta-blender-3-0
(Slightly newer even more experimental.)

Based on the upcoming December driver so instead of 30.x based these are 40.x based.

Doesn't say much on it's own but yeah preview / beta drivers experimental expect some possible issues until the actual December drivers are out and then the hotfix for what those might have broken after that as usual. Razz

Quote:

Support For
Radeon™ Super Resolution (RSR) Technology – RSRGD-197 is an in-driver spatial upscaling feature that is built on the same algorithm as AMD FidelityFX™ Super ResolutionGD-187 technology. It delivers near-native resolution and increased performance across thousands of games that run in exclusive full screen mode on AMD RDNA-based and newer discrete graphics.

AMD Link – Updated AMD Link Play feature now allows up to four users to connect to an AMD Radeon graphics-powered PC from an Android- or Windows-based PC, phone, tablet or TV to play local multiplayer games. AMD Link is also introducing customizable hotkeys, allowing gamers to use their devices to control their gaming experience. AMD Link is now accessible from the Microsoft store and can be downloaded as a standalone application on non-AMD based PCs, inviting an even wider range of users and hardware to join a personal gaming cloud.GD-159
Radeon Image Sharpening (RIS) – Bringing crispness and clarity to in-game visuals that have been softened by upscaling and post-process, the latest version of RIS can now be used to enhance visuals in video playback and other productivity applications with a single click.
Faster Downloads – Saves time and reduces the driver download size when updating AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition directly from the application, downloading and installing only the files that need updating on the PC.
Improved Toast Notifications – Provides users with a clearer snapshot on which key features are enabled or disabled whenever they launch a game.

Fixed Issues
Some users on Windows® 10 operating system may observe the absence of the windows transparency aero effect.
On some AMD Graphics Products such as Radeon™ RX 6800 XT Graphics, the Tuning page within AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition may display incorrect preset selections after installing the latest AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition driver.
While playing Forza Horizon 5™ on some AMD Graphics Products such as Radeon™ RX 6800 Graphics, longer than expected load times may be experienced when Ray Tracing is enabled and set at either Medium or High Ray Tracing Quality setting.
Visual artifacts may be observed while playing It Takes Two™ on some AMD Graphics Products such as Radeon™ RX 6900 XT Graphics.
Enabling Radeon™ Chill for SteamVR™ may lead to inconsistent performances being experienced.
After disabling the Hotkeys feature in AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition, some hotkeys still function for some users when they restart their system.

Known Issues
Using Radeon™ Super Resolution on 2560x1600 resolution displays may produce a system hang. A temporary workaround is to set the display Scaling Mode to Full Panel.
While playing Cyberpunk 2077™ on some AMD Graphics Products such as Radeon™ RX 570 Graphics, some users may observe an issue where indoor areas appear darker than expected.
Enhanced Sync may cause a black screen to occur when enabled on some games and system configurations. Any users who may be experiencing issues with Enhanced Sync enabled should disable it as a temporary workaround.
Radeon performance metrics and logging features may intermittently report extremely high and incorrect memory clock values.

Important Notes
The latest version of AMD Link for iOS and tvOS devices will be introduced at a later date.
AMD Software Capture and Stream features and Overlay support for Clone mode and Eyefinity display configurations will be introduced at a later date.
AMD is working with the game developers to resolve an issue where users experienced stuttering or lower than expected FPS values while playing God of War™ on some AMD Graphics Products such as Radeon™ RX 6900 XT Graphics.
