7 hours stuck on one freaking boss. Games should be fun, but when you say you have a headache and basically wasted time, then uninstall is a reasonable solution. I have never rage quit and uninstalled the game except one example - Dark Souls Ornstein & Smough battle. Eventually decided to reinstall a few weeks later and finished the whole game. But man, this game seems like a pure torture. Why to do it to yourself?

You can also notice a lot of random stutter, where it drops from 60 to 30-40 FPS, constantly, even if he has 2060, I think it was:

If someone spends 7 hours on one boss instead of going to explore somewhere else in an open world game, that's on them.

Yep, 7 hours "stuck" on a boss on *this* game? Maybe it's not the game that has the problem

Ya i tried twice, can get him halfway summons seem mandatory. Since then explored and leveled to 30. When are you supposed to do this boss?

I didn't know i could run until level 20.
I didn't know i could immediately counter with shield until level 25 or something.
I still don't know what those red squares are on the hud.

1070Ti playing at 1440p@60 on medium settings. No stutters outside of new assets loading (entering a new area) with the 3 already proposed fixes:

1- Go to your windows bar and search "graphics". Click on "Graphics Settings". Choose desktop app and click "browse". Search through your drive for the game files and set the options to "High performance"

2- For increased frame rate: Set the global "Shader Cache Size" setting in NVIDIA Control Panel to "Unlimited"

3- More stuttering fixes: Windows key + X --> device manager --> software devices --> right click --> disable Microsoft Device Association Root Enumerator

there was one, cant remember to have seen such thing as i went straight in the game - died and got respawned in that underground thingy. I also didnt knew that you had to take a break at those bonfire thingys to get the freaking horse and ran around aimlessly.

just fyi this is my first Souls like game, never tried anything like that before... so not sure what i was dealing with to be fair

cool. finally some definitive incentive to check out DRAUGER OS

game is horribly optimized for 2160p. esp in the open world even 3080 doesn't manage consistent 60fps

Yeah still runs poorly after the patch, 3080 - high settings, unlimited nvidia cache. You can see it in the Linux/Windows vid, there's a constant microstutter unless your underground somewhere.

This one wasnt so bad. Was looking at another and he was talking and swapped between all zones spoiling everything for no reason. Just showing random clips while talking.. A true retard.

for anyone with huge stutter problems, might as well just add a partition and install linux on it, then play via proton, seems to run very well.
its a really huge game that will take me more than 100 hrs to fully explore, so might as well invest a little bit extra time and set up linux (which takes like a minute anyway).
