I am not a huge Dark Souls player but I was watching someone play Elden Ring and if not for knowing what they were playing I would think it was just Dark Souls 3 as the HUD looks identical. I wonder if this was just Dark Souls 4 and halfway through development they decided to try and spice it up as a new IP since Sekiro did so well.

Hurr Durr Martin was looking for a reason to slack off for several more years, so they reached a mutual benefit of spicing up a generic fantasy game with his name, and him saying "well I'm soe busy, can't write ¯\_(ツ)_/¯".
Tried it on my 3700X / GTX 1660 PC as well and the stuttering is insane, even if I lower all the details
It makes you wonder how a game can get all of these 10/10s with such obvious technical issues on all platforms. What do they prioritise if the experience is hampered by this sort of thing? In many regards, like UI, visuals, interactions etc, the game hasn't moved on from the last souls game at all. 10 out of 10, my arse.
At least ELEX II is around the corner until this gets fixed (officially or otherwise).

ACG, in the video above, hints that review NDAs often prohibit from talking about patches and sometimes performance. Who knows what these clown "journalists/mumburrs of the pruss" sign just so they get it two days earlier and the clicks, the clicks, the clicks. I wouldn't be surprised if they were prohibited from speaking about performance at all. Digitaw Foundwy "agreed" not to post performance analysis before the miracle patch was released. Why? Because otherwise EuroDerper would not get a code, might get blacklisted from future review codes, and the clicks, the clicks, the clicks! Someone think of the clicks. Integrity? Clicks.
