fextralife is the only 'reviewer' that tells it like it is (about performance):
"Graphic fidelity is, unfortunately not a strong suit of FromSoftware’s development."
"... the open world features poor textures, frequent pop-in, copy-pasted and reused assets, and an overall fog to mask the lack of distance rendering."
"... we have seen equally large and much better looking open world games in recent years, such as Red Dead Redemption, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Valhalla, or Horizon Forbidden West."
"... here PC users will be doubly disappointed as the performance on PC is not just “not good” but actually poor."
"I am running a powerful computer with a 2080ti GPU and i9-9920 CPU, and still ran into constant framerate drops, pop-in and unresponsive controls. During some overland boss encounters, the FPS dropped to 10 or 15, adding a considerable amount of frustration to the objective. Even reducing the resolution to 1080p, which should have easily produced the capped 60 FPS, I still had issues regularly with frame drops."
Don't get too excited, near meaningless reviews where the reviewer is worried about being overly critical so they keep getting those sweet sweet review copies.

Meh...
hear about performance/graphics in 90% of the reviews and its minor stuff.

from software fans will know what to expect and those 9-10/10 reviews from major souls outlets speak for themselves, also every souls fan is already hyped to its hard to not get exited lol. from that it looks its just an amazing souls game, expanded on all souls core concepts, from combat to movement to locations and whatnot.
If it's good I am gonna play the shit out of it. But - as a lesson for many - unlike others, I don't cream my pants simply because some shilling utubers gave it such high praise and astronomical ratings.
Y'all are behaving like a bunch of pansy pussies getting moist by paid reviews and derp tubers. As hard as it might be, keep your head(s) clean, gentlemen.
Amazing isn't it
It reminds me of when Dragon Age 2 came out, all those years ago, and people were so excited by those initial numbers like they meant anything.
User reviews will be where it's at. People who use their own money to buy the game, not those entrenched in this advertisement ridden, influencer driven cesspool.

So preload or not preload mens? What do you advise?
I wouldn't bother unless your internet connection's crappy.
Well, I have my answer. Gonna preload tonight
Thanks.
What was your experience on PC, Pey ? Online it seems to be all over the place. PC Gamer says one thing, RPS another. One tweet says its horrible, the next one how it was so shit on ps5 that he returned on PC where its better.
@ the second video doesnt look to hot with the framerate

It's basically Dark Souls but open-world with some new mechanics and absolutely no guidance at all. You can go anywhere you want and that's what is nice about it. It's nothing new but the world is HUGE, the art is rather nice and there are LOTS of enemies, secondary bosses and the usual cryptic secondary quests. It's money well spent if you liked previous souls, cause this one will give you no less than 70-80 hours (or more) if you want to explore the whole map. Performance seems a bit off due to low GPU usage on some PCs (it uses DX12), so I hope they fix that with the alleged Day 1 Patch, although the version I played is already v1.01.

literally no review said it was horrible. some minor stutters seem to occur in particular places, like fighting one mob in one place, and when he is in other place theres no stutter.
Performance issues might be resolved one way or the other (devs or modders)

I seriously wonder how people do not get bored of getting the same game for the past 10 years.
same game?
ds 1-3 same medievalish setting action rpg with parry
sekiro -different feudal with posture mechanic/ on some forums they call it even a rhytm game (rpgcodex etc)
bloodborne -different gothic-something else setting with more aggresive non shield etc combat)weapons can change your playstyle
elden ring -sameish but different enough at least at first glance since we dont know the story(supposedly has more than 1 character arch)
If youu try to play sekiro like you play ds you wont suceed same goes for bloodborne.
Not gonna remind ppl of all the cods/battlefields/zelda games/assasins creeeds until origins(which ofc is a bland open world anyhow same goes for valhalla etc)/far crys 9 or was it 11 that mostly stayed the same.)
Hopefully Flawless widescreen utility can fix the lack of ultrawide support in Elden Ring but folk seem to think that will trigger the anti cheat system.
jokes aside i doubt elden ring is the second coming as journos are claiming and i dont understand why some ppl in this thread expect a second coming but are dissapointed because they already know it is not.
it will be a decent game to put your time into.what else did you expect?
That supposed to be a parody of trolls? If not then poor guy has serious issues.
not sure prolly just acting up to get clicks.
didnt check his channel but seems to be his thing with all games. just shitting all over them no matter what.
