Some people i talked to who played the ps4 network test said it ran fantastic on that shitty low spec console so no clue how they could fuck this shit up so much on PC if the reports are actually true but then again it uses the craptastic DX12 API and EAC so i guess it's a real possibility.

I played the PS5 network test and it was fine, no stutter and the framerate, while not perfect 60, was mostly there.
Stutter can happen even with the best hardware though, so if the PC version really happens to have that issue in the DF analysis (which should be out on wednesday probably), I am not taking any chances and getting the PS5 one.

i would never get any of these games on console if also available on PC, you're totally missing out on modding (and other things that can really fine tune stuff). Their games are usually rather mod friendly too..

I have major doubts about these so called pc issues. Every single From game is utter shit on consoles, with every performance issue in the world. And all of them are perfect on PC. Am i supposed to believe they somehow magically learned to code for consoles and in the meantime suddenly droped the ball on PC ? Why arent i seeing these so called infernal stutters when looking at videos ?

What issues might those be ? You can download their first version of all their games from trackers and play them with no performance issues. While stuff like Bloodborne's frametime issues or Blightown framerate on console are year old memes. Im not talking about things like their internal resolution of the first game or how they lock the framerate to 60. Its about if the games run well or not in the confines of what they're making.

Anyway, Elden Souls (at least version 1.0) runs like ass. Saw it in Asmonwow's channel yesterday. He was struggling with stuttering and low framerate. He even mentions himself at some point that he might need a 30000 RTX to keep up frames...

Someone refresh my memory but will it be possible to unlock the frame cap without fucking up the game physics? I can't remember if this was possible in DS3.

Yes DS3, Sekiro have mods to unlock framerate. Hopefully this ones gets one soon, too.

Can you name some games where they were released in an abysmal state, but a magical “day 0” or “day 1” patch changed all that?

i already explained what it was in relation to. Dark Souls 1,2,3, Sekiro, Bloodborne - all have unresolved performance issues on consoles. Glossing over things like m/kb in the first game or that we need mods to go over 60 - the games, all of them run fine on ancient hardware. They dont stutter, they dont skip frames, they're smooth. The point was the performance, not the rest of the stuff they can't do well. We'll see how this ends up friday

Sekiro actually released on PC in a great and optrimized state, I was surprised, but the other Souls games nah, they mostly needed Durante fixes.

why complain for pages about the possible performance of a game that isnt even out yet that you clearly dont intend to play in the first place? wait, dont answer that. nvmd, it was dumb question. i prolly should keep ignoring those posts like everyone else does in this thread but well you clearly didnt get the hint...

Probably more due to the fact it was not a Bandai Namco release.

sure, just read more on the topic, it were like few minor stuff in 1-2 places, the issue is getting blown out of proportion gigantically.

also if the product is patched day1 its logically that they dont wanna DF to do tech review on the unpatched version.

Read what or where?!

I don't trust ANY of the sources talking about this. Especially those Digital Foundshills.

I'll see for myself when the isodemo comes out.
