Is there in history of modern gaming any game that got up after that massive review knockout?
IMO only F2P can save the playerbase in this game and constant upgrading to the code. I have played free weekend and this game is step back in franchise and IMO even in multiplayer shooter gaming.

no, it was very liked from the start, had bugs and server problems but them seeing the positive praise probably made them fix them, which was strange for a ubisoft game.
much libe bf4 was well received but got fixed 1 year later for its server problems.
not the same with 2042 where core game is broken. maybe similar with no mans sky as they introduced soo many things to fix the game.
cyberpunk could be another one but time will tell..
even if 2042 goes f2p doubt many will play it, these days the standards for f2p games are higher, apex, warzone, fortnite are vey polished games

The dumbest thing is that people still bought it after an open beta, where all of the same issues were present. This goes back to the 'bu-bu-but it's a beta!' topic I made years ago. It was plagued with issues, and the so called full game was scheduled to release a month later. As if they were ever going to be able to address everything before then.

That petition is just hilarious though, if only this was the only game that released in such a sorry state nowadays. But keep throwing 60/70/80€ at it on the release day guys, it will get better...

they should just pull an anthem and unrelease it already, everything they do has negative response.
its funny couse bf1 had such massive hype, but when they released it they also did titanfall 2 dirty. now bf series and dice is history, apex is ea's flagship shooter and respawn the leading dev on many projects. and this is not within a span of 10 years, shit happened too fast
cant make this shit up.
