Is it true that you can complete Morrowind without following the main quest?

Bullshit.

I installed Morrowind this week and it ran as shitty as it did 4 or so year ago. The game had number of patches and my system is like 2-3x times as fast now.

I installed it on my 2400+. Not only did it ran perfectly on highest details possibles. But thanks to fan-made patch, I was even able to double the viewing distance.

Same.

Yeah there's a video of someone completing it in like 5 minutes using no cheats.

finishing the game and playing it 2 days are not the only options.
I played morrowind for a total of more than 200 hours, but never played the main quest and never finished the game.

I finished the mainquest and the tribunal expension. Never finished bloodmoon.
But, besides the mainquests, there are like 100+ sidequests to do. Laughing

Same for me. I finished Morrowind and Tribunal but never got to the end of Bloodmoon. I seem to remember I got frustrated with the game constantly pausing because of draw distance issues or something. Ive upgraded my PC several times since then but I dont have my saves anymore. Im tempted to reinstall just to see how the game performs actually.

May the NFOrce be with you always.

i don't have much draw distance crap.
Mainly because i install the unofficial patch (1.6.2) and this optimizer: http://morrowind.nm.ru/tweaker/new/mw_fps_opt.static.v1.96a.rar
works great Smile

Been there, done that. I played WoW for a year, and countless other MMOs before WoW only to find out they gave me more fustration and effect on my life than I actualy had fun, now I quit MMOing for good. Went back to single player games and are as happy as a kid with a bigass candy.

I don't believe anything ES would be tagged as a "demo". Possibly the preview version was only a certain size [hence the don't go through the gates order] but any leak at this point I would think (hope) would be the game. But I would enjoy playing the first 2 hours because if this (proposed) leak has anything to do with the preview it will have at least a couple hours of content.
It's late and I'm tired so excuse me if I babble...

BTW I did some digging, and this "leak" does indeed exist...although I'm not sure if it's a movie or a limited version of the game itself. It's called a DVD demo presentation. Dunno.

*edit* Yeah it's a 20 minute movie apparently.

the elderscrolls never had a demo.

I bet the "leak" is just a rar file which contains some high resolution E3 or trailer video's. Rolling Eyes

or gay porn

hu?

most of the times people say there is a leak avaible, its because they saw it on p2p, and p2p is well know about its fake stuff. Most of the times the fake stuff is filled with gay porn.

Daggerfall did, released before the game if I remember correctly, on one of those PC magazine CD's. It included one small island off the coast of the mainland that you could do anything you wanted on, but could never leave. I musta played that 1000 times back when it came out.
