In todays society you have to live in a country, where would you go if you wasn't allowed in any country? Don't start with "Antarctica" because you would probably die before you knew it out there.
Why shouldn't you be proud of your country? If a war broke out today, I would fight for my country, but not for the government. I don't want this country to be overrun by the enemy, I don't want this country to be occupied. By this I'm not saying that any other country is better or worse, I don't care what you think of this - or your country. Just because I happen to like this country, does that mean that I have to hate any other?
D_A_Kuja, so you say it's impossible to love both your family and the country? I'm proud of both.

i didnt say its impossible, but for example people like YourGod are blind with their unconditional patriotism, they feel proud for their country to feel like part of something great, instead of being a failed individual.
not all people who re proud of their country are like this of course, everyone has a different character.

patriotism and nationalism is only good in countries who deserve it and actually make an impact on the world traditional nationalist countries that deserved to be patriotic in my view were all great powers at their stage in history, the soviet union .. british empire... roman empire... greek empire....now its america's turn..... counties such as georgia (where i was born) most eastern bloc countries, nigeria etc ruined the country due to nationalism when it was not deserved.
seriously pisses me off what the hell can georgia be nationalistic about , its fucking drunken aristocracy, its cognac, wine:(

Why do you keep stating that everyone who has a different opinion then you, are either wrong or just plain idiots?

Simplest answer is usually the correct one eh? Naw...that doesnt really hold true, least in my life. But in the context your using it, perhaps it does
Learned something new tho, now I know how to spell Ockham

Ockham Google search = 1,500,000
Occam google search = 2,590,000
Also the Occam searches are more relevant . Just because a lot of spacks get it wrong it can't be accepted as right!
