Oh, I am sure it does have a 'certain kind' of... polish.

DL2 will be cut in Germany. What is the best course of action now? Buy PEGI in Austria and activate on German Steam, does that work?
Amazon sells the AT-PEGI Steam version as Standard and Deluxe but to prevent issues with DLC-purchases, if it works (anyone knows?) I would create a separate AT Steam account and just gift the ultimate version to my German account.
I need 2 copies, so it's going to be a 200 € gamble unless anyone has any experienced with this and can tell me if this would/could work. Thanks!

The actual fuck, why are they releasing this as marketing. 4k RTX. I doubt even a SLI 3090 setup can do this. Doesn't look that impressive either. There is just to much stuff to render that's probably sucking up GPU power. Poor design.

Tempted to pre-order it as cheap on cdkeys but to barely manage RT @ 1080p on high-end hardware, could well end up being another Cyberpunk 2077 mess.

It really doesn't add that much difference to the game most of the time. (RT)
(Then again I don't know if Dying light is "night and day" using RT)

What you are saying makes no sense. Ray tracing reduces fps. You are probably referring to DLSS, which is something different and it doesn't require ray tracing.

it's so people with 3080s will want a 4080 or whatever card when they announce that it does 30% better and will make the game run at 35 fps 4k

Point is the game can't be played with the resolution/framerate Nvidia is advertising with current hardware. So they are straight out lying with with the look how great our RTX looks add.

And you base this on what? RTX 3080 and 3090 have been handling 4k pretty well in a lot of games, especially if DLSS is involved. When it comes to RT, you don't have to max out everything in the settings to be able to enjoy what this feature has to offer.

Without benchmarks, this doesn't mean all that much.

Give me one good reason why devs would downplay the performance of their game pre release.

For starters, that was posted months ago. There's also the security factor.
It might be that the game runs like shit with RT on, despite Dying Light 2 being visually dated. I'm not excluding this possibility.

Dying Light Skills:
• Survivor
• Agility
• Power
• Driver
• Legend
Dying Light 2 Skills:
• Combat
• Parkour
Yep, it's a modern, upgraded, proper sequel alright.
