is it possible to not update games (in this case Subnautica)? All i find if i click options, update is:
always
update when launched
high priority
fuck devs who releases shit like this;
"This update changes the troubleshooting guide from being hosted on Steam to being hosted on our blog."
great, you just broke thousands of people's games for absolutely nothing, no one cares about your shitty blog. the fucking timing too, spent hours yesterday modding this game for VR etc.
edit: seems like it's not possible to play with old versions unless disconnecting from internet.. tested with the update and it broke all my mods. fucking pieces of shit, bet those mods will never get updated again either because this game hasn't gotten an substantial update in years so many of those modders are long gone.
uninstalling.. gotta find a pirate version with older version number and use that i guess
Can someone test does Big Picture mode freezes after less than a minute of navigating in it? For some reason my Steam.exe crashes 'Not responding' within seconds after launching Big Picture.
Thank you in advance!

I tried Steam's support for the first time. Wasn't expecting anything but 'deal with it' answer by a bot.

Hello and thanks for reaching out to Steam Support.
These crashes can also be caused by out of date drivers, failing hardware, interfering programs, or a corrupt Steam installation.
Because of the variabilities involved we can only recommend reaching out to the community or a local PC specialist.
I'm sorry there's not more information we can provide.
Thanks to my daily job in IT, I didn't want to give up that easily. After sending them a few messages with all the logs I could gather, they promised to forward my message to their devs.
Few days later...

For the disclamer, this issue is related to AMD platform with NVIDIA GPU and Windows 11. I'm not sure wether the issue is at some drivers but my PC is using latest NVIDIA and AMD Chipset drivers, and the latest BIOS of my mb as well.
I was too lazy to tryout different NVIDIA drivers in hope that that could be the case. I'm sure that the issue is somewhere with Big Picture .exe / GUI and Windows 11 .NET(?) library or such.
I'm glad that they are working on it for the good to the whole community.

Nice, what all logs did you send that managed to make the steam support work for once
Screenshot of a Steam.exe window in 'Not responding' state, Windows Event Log message related to the crash. I offered them the dump file of a Steam.exe file saved at the time of a crash but their attachment file size limit was too small for it. I asked them whether they would download it from my OneDrive and they refused which is understandable.
I do these things at work as well so this approach came out of experience.
ps. How many of you moved from Diegoland to Turkland?

i would suggest against moving there. the xurrency is in freefall right now and lost 40% of its value(thats why its suddenly cheaper) with no end in sight yet, but if steam or the publishers do some change in pricing because of that it might get more expensive?
Looks like Steam did something, I cannot send a digital gift card to my "turkish" steam account
the currency lost about 1/3 of its value and regained it within a single day.(yesterday) that might be enough reason for steam to temporary suspend any billing operations?

Right, didn't realize. Yeah, that makes sense that steam would have some sort of fail safes applied.

im not sure only theorizing. try a again within a couple days it might work
Just sell TF2 keys on the market. Yes, you loose ~15% market value, but for many titles it's still much cheaper. Turkmen is not that interesting for all titles, often Argentina is still cheaper.
From Steam Market itself with a secondary account that has your own currency. Or if you want even cheaper (I don't bother with it) buy from some traders on e.g. steamtrades, there are plenty that sell TF2 keys. I usually buy 50 keys at once, enough to get me through a year Another tip to save some money if you go market route: buy during the Steam sales, key prices are always a bit lower, then sell them after sale is done. Of course that only works if you have enough left in your wallet to buy what you want
