I am willing to give this the benefit of the doubt, and so far I haven't had any major glitches or errors either. But somehow this game doesn't click with me, although it should be right up my alley... Somehow everything seems to lifeless and inconsequential...

It's not an impression, unfortunately. There are a handful of impactful choices only.

IMHO it's all a matter of expectations. The game isn't bad, it's not brilliant either. It does have reasonable production values and it doesn't feel like a game i've played over and over again so it's kinda fresh. But it's not better then Witcher 3 or even close off course.
This one game out around the time of Assasins Creed Valhalla. That one was well received at the hump. Although that game is a total braindead ubisuck copypasta crapfest. But people had low expectations so they enjoyed themselves.
Cyberpunk had insane expectations. Just forget that's it that big game. Pirate it, play it for a couple of hours and most people will be fine about it.

A bit disappointing, i want to replay TW3 someday on PS5 but not in a rush, but i do want to play CP2077 already and it runs poor on my PC.
Can't wait for them to release the updates already.

You know you don't have to buy and play ALL the games the day that they come out... right? Poker Face

It's the hardcore gaming season, dood.

"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

I boot this up today. The game is still quite a mess. Pop-ups everywhere, glitchy animations, questionable performance, bugs, they are still there.

Everything movement related is so clunky even without that annoying double tap dodge. On my way out of a building I hit like 10 walls. Indie games like Hell Let Loose have smoother movement than this. Laughing

Didn't touch it after the patches, but things should be better after them, right? Smile

Anyway, usually I play games for 3-4 hours and I'm bored, but this got me hooked and I played for 34 hours. The "open" city is a joke, but the story is good IMO, progressing the char is fun. There are bugs, yes, but I had no bugs that stopped me from completing a mission or progress the story.

If you can live with bugs here and there, accept that the world is not a GTA world and focus on the story, it's worth it.

What next gen updates ? Those are only for consoles, because the game runs the xbox one and ps4 game on the new ones. This game is safe to be considered a PC exclusive from what i've seen of the consoles.

I remember at launch xbox one was doing 13 frames in certain scenes. I watched a few days ago a video how the game is now on series x, its a barren wasteland full of glitches, even a year later. The game is worse on consoles now than it was on PC at launch. Nevermind the hugely compromised visuals.

This is a pc only game - only play it if you can on a computer

Sure, every patch should benefit all platforms as bugs and stability are concernced. What i was pointing to, usually when people say "the next gen patch", they're refering to the patch they said is coming specifically to series x and ps5 that will implement RT and bring about a build of the game thats native to current gen consoles.

But i dont suspect thats gonna change that much, the game is so heavy to run already on top speced pc's. But if someone can wait, i'd definitely wait for that, as current console builds are hilariously bad

It does also mention "Consoles & PC"

1st Quarter is stacked with games so I will probably wait for the next gen patch.

next gen will mean considerable changes to the engine, thus changes to performance, graphics.

if they're doing it right it should run much better, obviously. if the graphics are really going to look better? no idea, i've seen too many bad next gen updates so im not getting my hopes up when it comes to that.
