					| Interesting to see if they used rockys method to rip it or indeed cracked the TOC protection. Havent seen the NFO myself , file size should be a clue to the method used

disciplines, and it will also boast an all-new pro career mode in
which you can choose one specialized discipline.

The currently confirmed disciplines are: V8 Supercars, Rally, DTM,
Supercars, Off Road, Trucks, GT, Formula 1, Formula Ford, Stock Car,
Baja Buggies, Convertibles, Carts, Pick Ups, 4x4, Muscle Cars, Ice
Racing, Nascar Series, Street Circuit, Classics, Hot Rods, Monster
Truck, Vintage cars, and you will be able to race these over 40
 championship circuits across the globe!

 RELEASE_NOTES________________________________________________________;

MRN's releases crashes after you select World Tour mode, CLEAR's fix
didn't work either. This release doesn't crap out after you select
World Tour mode, no black screens and no crashes, everything works.
The game will only work from DVD! Have fun :)

					| I think they have definately used rocky5's method, it's been pointed out to me that the NFO states it's DVD only. So if they had manged to pull apart codemasters protection I don't think they would have forgotten to fix the file name length problem for running off a HD in the conventional way.
Shame on SPARE for not giving credit.

I looked up "gormless" in the dictionary, it said "without gorm" .... so i looked up "gorm" but it wasn't there ????

yep, even though if they had half a brain they could use Nkpatcher and mount from the HD. With chips that can boot retail, they could have both hard-mod and soft-mod (with NKpatcher) set up at the same time.

					| Does the title screen say DTM Race Driver3 then or is it identical to the previous Toca3 versions?
Also what does DTM stand for?

May the NFOrce be with you always.

					| There sems to be an extra option to the left of "World Tour" called DTM something or other, you can go straight into the DTM races in that mode. DTM is German/Dutch touring car
But otherwise it is exactly the same game.

					| thx for this great release at last a real group releases a working one thx
As for framerate, the 360 version runs smooth, while the PS3 is a jaggy mess that chugs along in slow motion.

					| I can indeed confirm that this looks like it was done using rocky5s method. While I do appreciate that they released a working version of such a nice game, I still think it's a shame he did not even get credited. But well, C'est la vie

gfx - 7 nothing special, but pretty good
sound - 7 it does what its supposed to do
gameplay - 5 floating cars, they weigh nothing

+ for length, there is tons of competitions with big variety (this is probably its downfall as well)
 - the overall feel of the cars is just not that good imho.
 |

I sped my way through the 4 challenges contained within the first 2 tiers, grabbing 1st in qualifying and 1st in the races on all challenges with ease, Im sure it gets much harder though. Other than the sound of one of the cars engines nearly giving me a migraine I enjoyed it but feel like the series is starting to be one of those along with Colin McRae that simply takes the easy route of improving graphics and making minor changes every year making me doubt that I'll actually buy it even though I've seen the graphically superior PC version selling for £17.99 (which is a bargain) and even though as a fan of the series I splashed the cash for and still own original versions of Toca 2, Toca Race Driver and Toca Race Driver 2, a game that I barely played.

If im being honest I now favour the format of Forza and the Gran Turismo series - the voice acting and characters in the story within Toca Race Driver series always made me laugh though, some of the patter that the Scotsman comes away with in Toca RD 3 is just as funny as the previous games. I was playing earlier on and he was banging on about "taking off as fast as a brides nightie" and "nice to see me finally getting my arse in gear".

ok, maybe not all, but rally for example felt like i was driving a card box car or something like that.

i miss that heavy feeling of cars like in pgr2 or forza.

then use a better disk me and everyone elses is performing perfectly , im 30% through and not a single problem, this game is awesome, playing ever race on each tier before moving onto next tier. lovin the close racing great programming on this outing of toca. i cant believ how much better the xbox version is over the ps2, i think the control of the car on the xbox using the analog triggers for throttle and brakes gives u so much more control.

Either it's something fishy with the DVD on my Xbox, or it's the DVD's that are fishy.
