Took me longer than anticipated to devour the final season since I was being a sfaticato and a bit of a chiavica, as well as a smemorato. Fortunately, it was a competent one, possibly the most logical conclusion to the story. I'm glad it's over now and the show wasn't milked for more seasons, the sense of fatigue had been slowly building up for a while and adding another layer of artificial plot devices to the formula was always going to be a jeopardizing move.
What a wild ride it was, with its gritty style, rock-solid camera work, all its enthralling scenes and iconic characters. The element of realism was gradually weakened by the show's constant need to provide so many murderous twists and theatrical scenes (especially near the end ), but it's very difficult for the modern Italian television and its tragically low standards to do better than this. Statte buono Gomorra!
I havent watched the last 2 seasons of Gomorrah yet, but yesterday I started watching Fargo S04 and was really surprised and happy to see Gennaro in it
