I tried the isodemo out curiosity to see if I could squeeze some entertainment out of it, but alas. The visuals are great (same with the performance - even on my toaster at High/1080p) and you can tell that some talented designers worked on it, but as always, everything is put at the service of a formula that aims to please the lowest common denominator, which is a shame. Since every car comes with an air-cushion-like propulsion system placed below the chassis and the damage system is a faux one, the punishment for mistakes is nearly zero, meaning you can just bump the rubber band AI and drive offroad whilst taking down small trees, poles and concrete walls like a bulldozer with no consequences.
The game most likely gives its best when played online, still, it's the core gameplay that I find very shallow and unsatisfying. There isn't a proper progression system in place either since you get supercars from the get-go, so that you can #yolo your way through the next heycholitowassup XPee festival like a champ. It's better and more dignified than anything the Need for Speed series has done over the past decade, but that really is a laughably low bar. 5 familias and a half/10

I tried it and i wish i wanted to like it more but nope, too much "Look at this famous guy outta nowhere!" and the whole "Popularity chats" between and during events that distracts you from the main objective...
....And some people says they're UNSKIPPABLE (Didn't bothered trying it out just in case there was no "Hold button to skip"
PS: Whenever they show PC requirements they should think of 1080p60FPS NO RTX recommended instead of "Oh, but the 4K!" ones etc... C'mon, not everybody wants to go 4K
I skipped the game and, whenever i can, will go back tryiiiing to beat AGE OF EMPIRES IV and it's "Nope" army

You sure, I opened it yesterday and it showed 150k credits for FH5

If it's anything like FH4 you'll need to reach a certain level before you get access to all online features.
I've been thinking about forming an nfohump club that we can gather in to make it easy to create convoys and join online challenges together. In fact, I'll go do it right now.

Works for me. I got 100,000 CR from the app. I'm using Game Pass. I also got rewards for the other Forza games.

Did you get those credits in game? The app showed I got them but I see nothing inside game.
Also, I cant read. Horizon 5 is not listed in the app. Just Forza 5 LOL

Yeah, the no progression put me off from buying it.
I rarely, if ever play racing games as it is and generally when I do, I want to have a feel of accomplishment when I manage to make my way through the career.
I might pick it up at a later date, when it's on sale just to play with a couple of my friends.

It's the same as when you first started playing FH4. You'll have to spend quite some time to do increase your accolades and XP to reach a certain level (don't know what that is in FH5) where the "story" ends and you become an "adult" in the game. There's also the same bonus boards (XP and fast travel), barn finds etc. just like FH4.

Looks fine on Xbox Series X from the cockpit view. Sounds like you have issues with tonemapping. |

same here, atm ist unplayable with cockpit view most of the time. they need to fix this, same goes for the mini blackbars all over the screen. something wrong with the shadows (lowering the settings doenst help). too lazy to go back to older drivers, maybe the newest ones (although game ready for fh5) are the probleme here

Its unplayable for me alltogether. Crashing constantly. Can drive maybe a few meters when the game just closes on me. Sometimes I dont even get that far. Pretty garbage release again.

The only TECHNICAL issue with the game that i had was STARTING IT...The initial credits logos thingy (BEFORE the XBOX STUDIOS etc ones) could crash with the loading circle at the bottom right
PROPER EMPRESS crack that is.. Hopefully there's a REALLY PROPER CRACKFIX
Also that you could put a DS4 pad in it and it'd not be detected, and DS4Windows would not work unless you did a dumb move in the app's Settings
