They also handled Crystal Dynamics's ports to PlayStation, so they might've gotten them as a support studio. (I know that it's unlikely)

While the story is definitely worth experiencing first hand, the gameplay is nothing to write home about. I don't see what's your problem with people who didn't want to wait for something that might have never happened like this port.

I would rather not watch or just buy a console or wait for PC version then ruin the game by watching it all on YT.
Anyhow even knowing what happened it still worth it to play GoW as it is a great game, the Axe is one of the coolest weapons i played in a game,
The exploring is great also as you have a kind of metroidvania world and it really well done.

You are overhyping it. Most decent metroidvanian games have better gameplay and sense of exploration than this. In many regards, the GoW's gameplay feels like that of a PS2 game, but with a combat system that's a bit inspired by the Souls series.
It's the storytelling and the world building where God of War truly excels and it's worth playing just for these.

When you say the exploring is great are you refering to the small and empty game world, where you have to find shit collectibles, 3 of a kind ?

I disagree, I'm not overhyping anything as it's what i liked and felt when i played it
Ofc that the story and world are a part of the complete package being awesome but for me the combat is far better then all the souls games and i had much better time.

Im saying that i played it i enjoyed the exploring and kept on searching every nook and cranny.
