Looks like it's going to be an AA game, which is about what could be expected. I guess the devs can be lucky this didn't get overhyped into the next "Zelda-killer". Now it has the potential to just grow a good healthy fanbase.

Zelda is not that great.

There it is.

Played it for about half an hour. It's a nice relaxing game so far. At least at the beginning it's more of a platformer than Zelda or anything else. Environments are linear and closed off.

Graphics are nice, but I think a few more post processing effects could have been added. At least it's well optimized, on my 2060S in FHD in Ultra I get ~70 fps outside and 120+ indoors.

Seems more like a kids game (no surprise there), I'll keep going for a bit because it definitely has some charm to it.

How can you release a game on PC and NOT test it by actually PLAYING it on a PC?! Neutral

Utrawide FOV is horrendous, mouse sensitivity slider is a joke, derptroller focused movement and combat.

Story / idea / graphcis might be nice, but QoL and PC technical / support wise is half-baked. Might be fixed when it gets out of Early Access. Huehuehue...

No money from me!

Played about 5 hours on PS5 and I think it’s pretty great so far. Got off to a slow start but gets better with the upgrades. Just goes to show release day review embargo’s are a cause for unnecessary concern. Plenty of people worried it was a sign the game would be bad! Quite the opposite in my opinion and a good first game for the developer.

I gotta say the game is pretty lovely. It looks great, runs great...

Shame on the devs for getting in bed with Epic though...

The game is quite demanding for UE4 game, still decent performances though.

@JackQ you have a 3070ti, right? What's your performance in 4k?

Haven't tested it, yet. Proably later on today, I am too busy with work and and other stuffs.

But I did watched some Videos, and unless you have something like 6900 XT or 3080ti and above, you don't get 120 fps on 1440p on highest settings.

You need to drop shadows from ultra to high for a humongous boost in performance, from 25 to 40%, depending on the scene. And volumetric fog from high to medium, for another 10 to 15% boost.

Thanks, my friend, but uninstalled.

Looks nice, especially if the exploration is on point and rewarding enough (I've really been craving for a good exploration game lately).

Played it a little, nice game but all the cutscenes are bullshit, the real game never looks like that. Its all cgi pre rendered and not in engine. The in engine graphics and characters never goes to "pixar/disney" level. Nice trick from the developers

Gameplay-wise this reminds me of the PS2 days, but in a good way. I think this comes close to the Jak&Dexter games on PS2.

The pre-rendered cuscenes have a bit different artstyle, but the bad thing is that they only run at 30 or even 25 fps? Quite the jarring difference when the game ran at 80+ fps before...

Seems like 4k is not getting applied somehow. I have it set in the settings but I have constant 60 fps on ultra setting with ~70% GPU usage, which should not be the case for 3070ti. So I must be playing 1080p or something . Or I'm rly lucky Troll Face

If you're using DSR, you need to set 4k on your desktop as well and use windowed mode in game to run 4k.

Huh? Who said it sucks?! Confused

Me? ... You? ... You? ... Me? ... Him? ... HIM!

I was only trying to decipher the rocket science behind the orgasmic reviews and praise I've seen on pRofeSsioNaL media.

And, really, I know I am a cool guy and all... but... you give me too much power. How can I stop people from enjoying their 'stuff'?! Cool Face
