Well, there were at least 2 games I backed on KS that failed to delivered, and they are probably dead in the water in terms of development, luckily, I didn't lost much, around 20-25 dolars in total I think? not much of a loss, at least Psychonauts 2 which costed me 39$ ultimately gone gold, even if it took more than 5 years.. But hey, Patience is the key!

Tried it for 20 minutes in the beggining, was curious about m/kb, if it isnt borked. Its a bit ... springy when you move the camera, but well done overall. Saw some shader compilation complaints on steam regarding UE4, but i didnt have any hitching or stutter in those 20 minutes. The performance is extremely high

Shader stuttering and DX12 performance in general probably depends on GPU some do better with DX12 then others. Consensus is NV DX11 drivers are better than AMD DX11 drivers, so the gain from going to DX12 is greater for AMD cards. Also older NV cards are usually a bit better with DX11 then DX12 since they lack certain features.
At least steam/GOG versions can be set to DX11 with the -dx11 command line which should fix it, gamepass version is DX12 only as always.

PC version seems well optimized, but there is a bug with controller vibration that doesn't seems to work with certain controllers like dual sense.

The FLT release wouldn't install for me. Instantly errored out. The Fitgirl repack failed half way through but the DODI repack worked perfectly. Game runs great as well.

Just finished it as well and man, I was constantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it overall. Absolutely bursting with creativity all the way to the finish line definitely my GOTY so far.

Seconded, without a doubt my GOTY.
Game felt (too) short because it was an all-round, great experience.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.

Rumble works for me when you search for "stray thoughts". But no rumble apart from that.
I'm close to the end. Impressive game all the way through.

Oh man, they ventured deep inside Ford's brain in a jar and released against all odds the sequel that the Psychonauts deserved, the beautiful bastards
It may not have the same impact that the first game had and perhaps it's a bit too linear at times, but it's honestly impressive how this felt like a natural sequel and not another one of those byproducts of rotten memberberries that we typically get these days. The level design never misses a beat with its cocktail of brilliance and imagination, from the sci-fi-esque headquarters to the rural throwbacks and all the bizarre voyages inside the characters' minds, it always goes hand in hand with the terrific soundtrack that perfectly mirrors the art style. The performance was impeccable even for my toaster (on High/1080p), and so it was the m&kb implementation that made the game feel snappier and actually more fun to play than the original.
The narrative structure is solid as well, with nicely written characters (old and new) that have interesting backstories mirroring their behaviours, alongside the usual dose of classic charming Schafer humour and with Raz being just as likeable as ever. It took me about 14 hours to complete the main mission and most of the side ones, the story ran out of steam a bit near the end and the game was always exceptionally easy - like the first one, though even more so because of the improved controls - but still, it's a remarkable achievement given the context. I'd give it 8 fluffy beavers/10, it was a pleasant surprise to see that despite everything, Double Fine still got it. The old talent has always been there, they just needed a Micro-push. And now back to waiting for Psychonauts 3..2037 can't come soon enough.

That's an understatement. The first game is borderline unplayable with M/Kb.

You need a really high dpi for your mouse for the first game. Like 4 or 5000, cause it moves really slow for some reason. After that, its your regular 3rd person control. With no vertical axis if i remember right
