Fuck Sony, the PS5 is basically at Beta testing stage, only now they are enabling SSD upgrade, but VRR support is still no no, definitely worth to wait a year or a year and half for the console to be at proper shape.. and hopefully Slimmer model.

Which then will also run hotter and louder, cause most of the console is heatsink and fan.
i wonder how many people playing with this console got a TV with hdmi 2.1 and VRR support right now. 5%?
I wouldn't call it beta but yeah there's some things missing, i don't miss them as the storage available is enough but i can understand, also XSX has VRR and i can't remember a game i played that used it, anyway 1 thing they figured.. the storage, i guess main thing is VRR and minor thing people asking like folders or themes.
We already had this debate before whether or not one should wait before buying a ps5.
I have bought many consoles day1, and I can tell you that prices barely ever drop. 50€ at best 2 years later.
Of course then a ps5 pro might be released and might be better but if you keep having this reasoning you should then wait for ps6.
Anyway I paid my ps5 digital day 1 for 320€. Pretty sure it was worth the price and I definitely can live without every feature day 1
What I am afraid of, is, that the PS5 VRR(and maybe other future FWs features) will be lockesd down to Sony's only TVs, like the Sony's TV game mode only avliable for $ony's consoles... (Maybe this is why it takes so long? Who knows), this, despite the fact that Sony's TV, while being good TV's overral, are kinda lacking in gaming features comapre to their competitors, especially LG (Oh the Irony).
I am highely intersted to see how PS5 hoocked up to my C1 will be like.
perhaps they're gonna launch VRR alongside a new line of sony VRR capable TVs but there is no way they'd lock that feature to sony TVs only. I'd bet on it.
I want VRR eventually but unless my TV dies unexpectedly, it's gonna be 5+ years before I get one that supports it.
Likot Mosuskekim, Woodcutter cancels Sleep: Interrupted by Elephant.
$ony is well known for expansive storages upgrade for their consoles,
except this time with the ps5, you can take any fast pcie ssd which meet the minimum speed requirements and not just sony's own "memory cards" for way more money, like they did in the past.
fast ssds with such a huge storage are pricey, this has nothing to do with sony and will get better over time.
actually micro$oft is going this way this time with their own "memory cards"
Like you and others said, new revision weigh less because smaller heatsink. Also upgraded stand and different fan.
I don't think you miss something if you bought the launch version, tho the only interesting thing could be the fans, in launch version some (like me ) got a noisy PS5, maybe they stopped using the noisy fans (doubt that).
There are stocks with the largest retailers, with slightly pumped up prices, in form of bundles:
Console + 2 games + 1 controller
Console + 1 game + controller
Console + 1 game + headsets
Still, way way better than before - hope we get more title releases as I would like to secure one by the end of the year.
I would take controller or headset bundle.
The sony pulse 3d is really good sounding, comfortable and fantastically integrated into ps5. No hiss, static and very good 3d.

Tune in next Thursday, September 9 at 1:00pm Pacific Time / 9:00pm BST / 10:00pm CEST for a look into the future of PS5. The Showcase will weigh in at around 40 minutes and include updates from PlayStation Studios and some of the industry’s most imaginative developers, for games releasing this holiday and beyond. And stick around after the presentation to get more updates from some of the studio teams featured in the Showcase.
One thing to note: PlayStation’s next generation of VR won’t make an appearance this time. But there will still be plenty of great PS5 games from developers large and small. We hope you can join us!
We will know at least if some undisclosed good news/releases will come for fall 2021 .. but I expect that we will have to wait for second half of 2022 for major PS5 titles.
Still no problem for me as the backlog with unplayed PSN games will keep me entertained
"here's useless tweet but if I don't say something i will explode!!!
just found out about a new plaeystation game they are making-no ideaa when it get unveiled (maybe next week, maybe not) BUt just know when it does, people are gonna lose their fucking minds! Bad ass!!!"

watching the showcase... lol... men are completely cancelled from games i guess, all games are all female cast? it's getting ridiculous. couldn't really care though because so far its totally uninteresting games.
edit: ok, 3 remasters announced at least (from a time when there were at least a few men in games)
My hype was too high for this lol.
I’d give it a 5/10.
Really expected Metal Gear Solid or Silent Hill but nope.
Why waste time on Deathloop which is released next week!?
I give it a 3.5/10 i mean i did expect at least one surprise, but it wasn't something that blew my mind. but i'm getting old i guess and i'm totally expecting games to become less and less.. relevant.
The Titty Ass Korean game looked great...
god of war looked like 4k ps4 game...
No bloodborne remaster
No Kojima, sh, abandoned
No bluepoint
No "uc4 ps5 out now!, bb remaster out now!"

Yeah mixed feelings for sure, the hype was big and i thought we'll see something amazing, and frankly the first 30 minutes was lame, again GTA, again Deathloop, c'mon! But in the end it's only a showcase and there is so much good games coming, Project EVE looks fun, Forspoken looks awesome, will get Alan Wake and Uncharted for sure, and then they ended with Spiderman 2 and Venom that looks so good, Wolverine also sparks my mind of what Insomniac will do with it.
And for last.. God of fucking War looks divine. The only ever game i pre-ordered was 2018 GoW, will preorder Ragnarok the moment it's available.
So all in all even if the show didn't uphold my expectation after all the hype around the web.. there's so many great games coming so i don't worry.
Sony should have made a better show without the already shown games.
And wheres my GoW release date??
