I've been enjoying Teamfight Tactics for the last year. It's a f2p online game (a spinoff of League of Legends) that is purely tactical, no twitch reactions required. You play against 7 other players of a similar skill level, each player gradually builds their team with heroes with varying abilities and synergies and the teams then fight against each other. Losing battles will eventually get players eliminated, and the goal is to avoid elimination by building the strongest team (surviving till 1/2 of the players gets eliminated already counts as a "win").
The community is great, with plenty of informative twitch streamers. And the head developer is very highly respected in the community, he is really engaged in the game.
Edit: just wanted to add that games are determined purely based on skill (with a bit of luck involved)... there are no p2w mechanics of any kind.

The Elder Scrolls Online
Playing it as single player, finished all three alliances stories, now on to expansions!
Battlefield 4
2042 trailer got me slightly hyped. I play a few matches once in a while.

playing the sophisticated stuff right now:
1. Songs of Syx, addictive city builder somewhere between rimworld and total war. I have about 2000 out of a possible 30000 citizens and just conquered a second territory, very addictive and simple to play. I don't know how this game isn't popular yet, but it will get there.
2. Noita, 150 hours and i have still only chalked up a single win. still a lot more to learn on this one, it really emphasizes using your brain and learning the environment. it has an deceivingly huge scale and many well thought out game mechanics.
3. Oxygen not included, didn't like this back when it was first released, but now i'm about 105 cycles into a colony and i'm enjoying the ever-present challenge of balancing a living eco system. ONI seems really well balanced now, provided you're not abusing liquid locks and wikipedia.
4. Intravenous, splintercell/hotline miami style game, pretty challenging game, quite solid mechanically. spend a lot of time getting angry at this one because i always mess something up
5. Highfleet, this game is amazing if you like military strategy/submarine/ww2 conflicts, set in a Dune style universe with a pinch of nuclear catastrophe. Highfleet is quite the unique game.
6. Barotrauma, for a long time i hated this game, but they've finally got it to the point of where i can safely say it has a good campaign and gameplay loop and isn't just an annoying submarine techdemo. it's still a little work to play in singleplayer but it's good if you're prepared for a bit of challenge, or have friends to sink with you.
so yeah, i have been busy - haven't bothered with many AAA games for quite some time now

Quantum Break. Simple and repetitive gameplay (the shooting feels good though), but interesting story and surprisingly good acting performances so far. The graphics are nice as well, even for a 5 year old game.

I'm playing with yoyos again because gaming has become cookie cutter bullshit boring and there's nothing out I find remotely interesting.
That being said, I did this cool trick, where I turned my metal yoyo into a rocket and it shot into my nuts. Felt GREAT

Nice! Such an underrated and unknown little game. I usually play for 20+ hours a day or until my eyes and fingers start bleeding or I start hearing colors. But wish at least kids to know of it because right now it's full with some 50+ years old people who have the reactions of the sloths from Zootopia.

Kotor 2 and mass effect 1. I didnt recall kotor 2 being this fucking dull. Combat is a pain in the ass for non d&d players too.

I completed Prey the other day after starting from scratch one week prior.
Great game, shitty Bethesda f*cked up the entire PR campaign for the game, (basically by not doing much of anything.. and they didn't send out review copies until the very last minute either if I remember correctly) thus the game garnered very little interest beyond articles and videos speculating whether it was a sequel, remake or a "spiritual" reboot of the original Prey. When it arrived it was none of those things and without Bethesda supporting it, sales just weren't even close to the same level as Dishonored from the same developer which is why there were no sequel and any such ideas were disposed of by the corporate execs at Bethesda or Zenimax. With Microsoft owning those studios and IP's I doubt they're interested in the Prey IP. Such a pity, I loved that game.
