@blackeyedboy Every FS game so far has been "awesome to explore for the first time" (except maybe some parts of DS2). I think it's quite reasonable to expect the same from their next game.
Except 'all' of them being build for consoles and released with abysmal PC 'features'. NONE of the "FS" games that arrived on PC were treated with total respect for PC players in mind.
Derpsole icons, no FOV, no proper PC settings, no proper PC camera control, no proper PC controls. Also Dark Souls 2 was a flawed, downgraded, disappointing product.

It's my self driven opinion based on the fact that that has been my experience with:
demons souls
dark souls
dark souls 2
bloodborne
dark souls 3
and sekiro
I think it is safe to expect I will also enjoy exploring this new game that looks very similar. has nothing to do with marketing hype.
It's my favourite part of any game. going into a new world that has its own rules and history and learning about it. souls lore has always fascinated me and I doubt it will stop now.
will the port be good? maybe, maybe not. that's not what I was talking about.
also, I don't "know" what it will be like and I don't claim to.

This will be the best gaeme in the history of gaemes. Correct yourself boy. I'm looking for build diversity and enjoyable pvp. Just like almost every other FS game. Never disappointed me before. Well.. except Sekiro.

there is nothing wrong in being hyped as long as you dont preorder or throw money at unfinished products.
even though fs games had some issues with their ports their games are all well received. Im optimistic
I'm looking forward to this one, simply because I enjoyed previous games from the same devs. I think that's as good a reason as any.
Please keep in mind that each person values different things in games. For instance, some people (like myself) don't care much about how good the ports are and the lack of graphical options, while this could be a crucial factor for, e.g., blackeyedboy (who, based on his post, cares deeply about whether games treat the PC platform with proper respect).
Too many Diablo games or WoW expansions not matching one's nostalgic expectations can drive people into a downward, spiraling, acute, depressive mental state that can lead to... dangerous situations.
