I don't think they blocked it. I just tried and that looked like an error. They would say so otherwise, i.e. if you couldn't send to another region or whatever.
It's funny that Valve blocked sending gift cards through Steam (EU->Argentina) AFTER the summer sale

Their loss if steam really goes ahead with this. Do these morons seriously think that if they kill the arg/india trade that the majority of folks won't turn to the grey market or go back to piracy? Utter morons

I have not tried it but if the error for gifting digital gift cards is: ¨There seems to have been an error initializing or updating your transaction. Please wait a minute and try again or contact support for assistance.¨ some friends told me they also get this and none of them where gifting from or to Argentinian accounts so it might just be something else.
Steam market still works. Just buy some TF2 keys from some USSR guy and sell them on the market. Yes, you loose a bit of money but it's not that bad consdering the price of most ARS games.
First mentions I found (in polish) of this exact error were from 2014, so way before Steam started doing anything with illegal Diegos
Should get fixed in a few days. If not and it is a Steam policy change we still have gift cards on eneba and the like, even with the markup it's still cheaper. Heck, maybe when it's not so easy to become a digital Argentinian regional prices will go down there (yeah, right )
Some companies did lower prices or did not put international pricing equivalents though, Ys IX: Monstrum Nox for example went down from 5499 to 2499 ARS recently. No idea if that will become a trend.
if you got long train rides or so yes, otherwise where is the point? i got a ps vita, with so many good and "free" games which are fun to play, still i have to force myself to play it. when at home i sit on my pc and normally i don't sit in a train for 1-2 hours. sure go to bed early so you can play some more in bed while watching tv or so, but you do this 1-2 weeks and then you are done with it.
at least the vita is small (still large enough) and not heavy, this thing looks like a brick. for me the nintendo switch already sucks, if you plan to play it while laying down, cause it's way too heavy.
also the battery will suck ass 100% and the 64gb model is pretty much complete useless, so you have to pay even more.
I don't get the appeal, like, at all. When I'm outside/outdoors the last thing that crosses my mind is gaming

I only said interesting, I am not going to buy it, lol. I have my "old" Samsung S10 hooked on my TV for Geforce now and Game pass xcloud and Steam link over Apple TV and for some in bed gaming I have a good old Samsung Tab 10 from 2016 iirc. They all work perfectly fine for streaming and playing any kind of content
