Started playing the yarr version because I don't think lazy remasters should cost $60, and holy shit Mass Effect didn't age well despite being remastered. I loved this game so much back in 2007 but the simplistic level design and clunky combat make it a chore now.

I'm playing the ElAmigos release without any issues. The FLT release is also supposed to be fine but I won't touch their releases because of the reported trojans.

What about the patch(es), did they make it to the FLT rls for example? I think it came later?!

The last patch was from 7th June, FLT release is from 8th June (according to file timestamps). The last patch also dropped Denuvo.

Yeah, I'm with pontus, Mass Effect didn't age well. Also, I really don't how characters constantly remark about how awesome and special you are because BW loves to stroke the player's ego, and the game pushed me in the direction of a 'romantic' relationship with Ashley even though every interaction I had with her amounted to 'it wasn't your fault, chin up, sport.' or 'yeah, that's cool, you can believe in the flying spaghetti monster.'
I guess that's enough for her to go 'OMG Shepard you're so awesum I luv you UwU.'

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

I replayed the entire trilogy a while back (2020) and I found it a perfectly enjoyable experience and I wasn't annoyed by the lower polygon count or lack of the latest eye candy. After the initial "getting used to the control scheme" I fell right into the story again. I did use some texture mods etc. I think (no story/gameplay mods though) and possibly ENB or Reshade to enable a few shader filters to improve/change lighting etc.

Hmm I don't quite remember it that way, there was quite a good balance of people and aliens crapping all over Shepard and not believing him throughout ME1 and 2. It was only in 3 when they begrudgingly HAD to listen to him.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

I don't know what's with these mod managers always going hard on the anti-piracy shit.

It needs to inject changes into the game archives. That was possible long before this idiot and his mod manager came along. The credits basically outright say it's just a gui over the top of other people's tools that do the actual work.

I've installed a few mods on my cracked LE version with the mod manager. The only thing I've seen it complain about was backing up the files prior to applying the mod, since the exe won't match exactly due to it being cracked. Either back up your files yourself, or ignore the warning and select to install the mod anyway and it'll install no problem. I've got an FOV mod via the manager set at 110 and it's just plain lovely now.

So what's the verdict mens? Definitely looks better than the original modded games, it's a mixed bag or just a load of BS?

It's just Mass Effect with a slight facelift that you won't necessarily notice unless you played the originals recently

The installer Trojan? Nothing else gets alerted. Reason why the installer gets alerted is because they have exe's inside the installer to extract the files.

PE-encrypted files tend to trigger some AV's. I usually run stuff like that through virustotal and check the results of the AV's that flag it. 99.9999999% of the time it's false alarm due to cracked software.

Imo it's not worth $60 since Mass Effect is a lazy remaster and still feels super clunky compared to the other two games.I finished the first game and Mass Effect 2 is so much smoother to play.
I would have paid the $60 if they did a proper remake of ME1 like Mafia, but not a chance now.

I never owned original games but I payed 60$ for this because you get 3 games with shitloads of DLC. I am now at 152 hours played: https://i.imgur.com/KRwkfmL.jpeg
and a few missions in with ME3. I am enjoying it immensely! It does have issues for which I used mods. But besides that I think it's totally worth it.
Check https://isthereanydeal.com/game/masseffectlegendaryedition/info/ because you can get it for 50$ at the time of writing this which I still think is a great deal if you want to play it right now. If not just chill and wait for better sale.
