Dunno they probably check the first billing address or payment method registered and reset everyone to it, i never bought games on steam itself on my account before moving to Diego land so i'm probably safe.

Is there a way to permanently remove games from the "Recent" menu item that opens when right-clicking the steam icon on the taskbar?

No, I find it annoying that games or demos I don't play any more are still there. I can remove them manually, ofc, but have to repeat this step each and every fucking time I start steam...
