There is no fucking excuse from any of them.
They will always blame it on XYZ but they have had more then enough rest when last Premier League was a really B-C squad.

And of course OGS plays same team with NO subs until late last minute when it's too fucking late.
Pogba was trash. Rashford was fucking TRASH. Mctominay was TRASH.
Should have put on James earlier on. It was visible Rashford got injury but wasn't substituted because of penalty kicks? Which De Gea FUCKED UP.

How would Dan James of all people would've changed anything?
Ole played his best squad, the one that he trust the most, people just didn't turn up. It was a known fact that Villarreal will come and defend with two lines of five, we couldn't break them down and that's it.
I don't agree that McTominay was trash, I thought he was the best player on the pitch, at least for Man Utd, his fight and desire was crucial for the corner that lead to the first goal. OGS just can't look to his bench at this moment, because no one there would've been able to change anything. Only arguably VDB was a good shout and he is having a tough first season. Additions are needed and hopefully this summer will be better than the last one. We need to get Sancho a DC and at least one of Declan Rice or Ruben Neves. (or any defensive/holding midfielder that can hold and pass a ball while pressured)
Man, Spanish Dave is so shit on penalties, the only penalty he ever saved for Utd was against Arsenal back in 2011. With the conclusion of the shootout there are now 34 penalties in a row that he hasn't saved, and not only that he wasn't even close to saving one last night. I'm still pissed, but I'm looking forward to the next season, UTFR!

In current state they will would be happy to hit TOP 4 next season in PL. I really do hope that it wont be a two-horse race between Chelsea and City. Man Utd atm is just not good enough. This season they overarchieved as f due that Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, and Lampard's Chelsea were all poor.
The whole Man Utd team is a mess atm. They cannot get rid of Pogba without letting him go for free which Glazers wont allow by any means. Phil Jones is still on the lists. Players like Fred, Martial etc are just useless against top teams.
De Gea has the biggest salary in PL. Goodluck getting rid of him until his contract is out.

I don't agree that the team is a mess.
There is progress both in playing style and points total during the season. It was always gonna be whoever beats City wins the league and United were the best of rest. I don't think we overachieved, not one from the teams that you've described are better than United currently.
Arsenal are rebuilding and them not being in Europe this season could be a blessing in disguise.
Most of the Spurs players are getting old and they will need replacing, with the debt from the stadium and the stingy Daniel Levy it will be pretty hard for them to be back in contention soon.
I fully believe that Liverpool will be challenging next year again, Chelsea nearly bottled the top 4 and barely made it even after losing on the last day. While I agree that players like Werner and Havertz will be better next season, they need to seriously work on their defence, because I was shocked when Fat Frank decided to spend 150mln last season on attack (bar Ben Chilwell, who is a good LB).
United on the other hand are a couple of signings away from being a title challenger, if they can sort out and bring a decent partner for Maguire, it will be their most glaring issue solved.
They need a holding midfielder who does well under pressure in the big games, because Scott and Fred tend to lose the ball a lot. I don't agree that Fred is useless, he has incredible stamina and is winning back second balls quite regularly. I won't even acknowledge the Martial comment, lol. He scored 23 goals the previous season, he must be doing something right. Scored against Spurs, twice vs Chelsea and twice vs City, but he is shit against top teams, eh? (and this is only in 19/20)
He is going through a rough patch, but most of Utd's fans know what he can do.

Call me biased but I can't see United challenging current City squad with only few new players. United is missing a true team leader since forever. Pogba isn't one and it seems the sooner he leaves the better it can be. Cavani is a positive addition to the squad but then again he isn't a player to build a team around. Yes it's better than nothing but United still misses world class striker.
Lindelof is just bad. Baily is injury prone. Harry Mykonos, Van Bissaka and Shaw all do have potential but Utd miss few world class defenders because one is not enough for the whole season. Not to speak if you have a bad luck with injuries across the whole defence.
I still believe that this season Utd was lucky other teams sucked in addition to those games won by VAR penalties which happened so often that the whole thing became a joke.

Really good intensity and defensive work from pretty much every Chelsea player, they completely shut down Pep's slow-motion attempt at tiki-taka-ing tonight (with N'Golo delivering the usual godlike performance ). City played with little urgency, it almost felt like they forgot that they were doing a one-legged tie until the end when it was already too late.

Chelsea deserved to win. Pep has overthinked his tactics once again. Playing Foden as centre forward, Sterling had a very bad season, no defensive midfielder (Rodri, Fernandinho) etc..
City looked tired and a shadow of a team from month-two ago.
All in all, I’m still sure we will see City in the final sometimes again.

Something is telling me that he wont last long there. Perez is in full control over everything. Debt is gigantic, which means that there wont be much money for crazy spending in terms of creating the squad from scratch (what RM desperately needs).

Yeah, judging from the tone of Zizou's open letter the situation in there isn't exactly optimal - to put it mildly. Then again, things in general are tricky for many top clubs at the moment, it's a constant race to make absurd capital gains and snag players at the end of their contracts and/or free agents

And UEFA want their cut too, otherwise... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9641569/Barcelona-Real-Madrid-Juventus-banned-Champions-League-week.html
It seems that Barcelona is funding Messi's new 2-year contract by selling Pjanic back to Juve. Ixi prepare your walletz!
