That's still not enough for me. I understand the objective tech aspect of it, but the default face - at any angle - is a far cry from the original. Despite the FOV and camera settings, her face is still off and doesn't retain the femininity of the original actress.
I personally never liked one bit how she looked in ANY camera angle in the first game. She was a sweet child that turned into a weird faced teenager.
Just hand her model over to some japanese developers for some fine tuning, problem solved. BTW, playing it now and it definitely lives up to the thread EA tag: crashed at the controls menu (?) and already had a couple of infinite loading screens

She went through the same facial transformation as all the women my age that were gracious and pretty in their 20s and now they look like fridges
Though to be fair I'm also slowly but steadily shifting from Max Payne 2 to Max Payne 3, feels bad man.
But yeah, it's deliberate in the same way Crystal Dynamics also made Lara thicccer in Shadow of the Tomb Rambo in order to pursue a more realistic (or well, "realistic") outcome. By doing that they low-key catered to the Kotaku's, Eurogamer's and Twitterpeople out there as well which for them is like killing two birds with one stone.
On some shots it looks better, but on the rest she looks way too plastic-y probably due to the missing freckles. I'll give the freckles version (just following the first step on the tutorial, apparently) a try.

You don't need to install the new texture (the plastic look) it works just fine with just the mesh and the original texture that's what i did, the mesh is a huge improvement over the original.
This looks so much better then fat Aloy it's not even funny even the textures look better i mean just look at the freckles on the Forbidden West model wtf is that.
Seriously i'm not going to play Forbidden West until there is a PC version with a mod like this for it

It does take place only 6 months after the first game though...
I was assuming she would be considerably older in the sequel, that indeed makes it more awkward than it should be haha. Hoekstra should sue them for libel
Any of you actually watched the gameplay video or are you just piling up your "opinions" based on a single freeze frame picture with a distorted angle?
she looks fine in the video... you can also clearly see, where they took the screenshot.
I find it funny people talk about her face but no word on the horrible clipping of her hair all over the place. WTF
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
