So are they saying aliens is a bad movie?
Borrowing the structure isn't theft.
It seems like a generic zackdaddy movie.
Critics will have their say whilst zackdaddy fans will love it.
I'll watch it tomorrow when the wife is at the doctors.
Bautista looks like a generic unreal engine model 
Hard to take him seriously, he's just a beefcake.

First few minutes. Very cinematic, feels like a cg cutscene out of a resident evil game.

Ya a 6/10 for me, its a fairly predictable movie and the second half was meh. Looks like a Snyder movie which can be a pro/con for some (personally not a fan of his style). There are many plot holes and dumb questions the movie never bothers to answer. Cast ware good, I like Bautista as an actor even though there's not much to showcase here.
Its barely a Zombie movie and derails into i don't know what i'd class it. I guess Aliens formula is in the ballpark but nothing in this movie makes sense, its just style over substance.

Totaly.
I love watchmen and dawn of the dead but this movie is just incredibly bad, it almost seemed like it was a first time effort for everyone including snyder.

Eh. It is by far his best looking feature to date.
It's like a full length music video. Very little boring shots, everything is framed as snyder shot. Even when they talk to each other.  it is jarring. It is literally a cutscene. Entire movie is a cutscene. I fell asleep mid way will continue but so far...
Movie wise, generic action packed action movie. Like g I joe movies. Which is nice, but it has less campyness to it.
Story wise like an 80s action movie. Simple. Generic and keeps moving. But you don't really care for the characters. Simply cause the acting is very generic, and the script is very light. It may have depth underneath, but it doesn't matter for this movie.
If he goes this route for the rest of his career, he will eventually make an 8/10 dudebro action movie. But he wants to make fountainhead after so that will be interesting. But yeah if you like action movies 80s style, with impressive visuals it is worth a watch. Other than that it is nothing worth your time.

I thought it was entertaining. I saw lots of similarities to Aliens and the story was meh..but the action was entertaining and some funny moments.
The story had plotholes big as hell, but its a zombiemovie so thats fine. The only thing i thought was really weird was how he could catch up on his mount and reach the house at the same time as the heli even though he was on the topfloor when the heli drove off and they are pretty damn fast.
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

Watched it yesterday and while most of the dialog made no sense, even for a zombie movie, it was still entertaining and had several nice moments. 7/10 for me.
PC: Yes. Console: No.

movie had some cool moments but its not his best work, the dof effect was annoying

But tbh it should have been even more important to stop people for flying out than in.
The disease should be important to keep inside the restricted area. No?

Restricted air is restricted you can't fly in or fly out.
Zombie movies are silly. I love Z Nation but here there are just glaring plot holes for a movie taking itself too seriously most of the time.
 Spoiler: | The mole had to take a sample of zombie, he could at the beginning of the movie and later takes it a couple of meters of place they came in. Why couldn't he leave that way and leave the rest? |
But I know, I know everything will be explained in the anime.

I agree. Z-Nation is the only Zombie tv-show I've ever enjoyed. It doesn't take itself too serious (like a certain The Walking Bore show) and has some interesting and funny characters.
I guess nobody took lessons from George A Romero's original three zombie movies (Night, Darn and Day of the Dead) which were full of interesting social commentary, targeting different issues in each movie in the trilogy.
The "remake" of Dawn of the Dead by Zack Snyder had none of that, being a very shallow action movie with some silly characters, lacking any of the depth of Romero's movies (Romero did fuck up the rest of series except for Diary of the Dead which was okay.. two new Romero-written zombie movies are on their way, ending his zombie series). The only redeeming part of that movie was the opening scene. The rest? Forgettable and shallow.
This movie has no redeeming qualities. The characters were incredibly boring and you didn't care about a single one of them. The zombie element of the movie is almost incidental and pointless since they present nearly no threat whatsoever. It's basically a boring heist movie in a post apocalyptic Las Vegas. I guess I have to blame the shitty writing (written by Zack Snyder as well).
