From what I gathered both AMD and Nvidia are producing 4 million productd units per month..
The demand is just THAT high that even if they double it won't be enough to fill the gap.

Being fair, despite all the crisis , I could get decent graphics card, I just severely messed up trying to get better card at decent price, and now I need to wait a bit till my 3060 ti will be arrive.

Still not sure how I managed to luck out getting a 3080 at RRP considering I ordered on the Friday rather than the release day Thursday.
My only thought is lots of people cancelled their orders on Ebuyer when they saw they wouldn't get it immediately.
I got the card a week later as well, so it wasn't exactly a long wait.

That's very thin. Dude is tasked to create new logos for the upcoming 3080/3070 ti release and figures he might as well add 3090 or didn't even realize there ain't no 3090 ti coming this month.
Not to mention the GA102 die doesn't allow for many more cores. Can't go anywhere performance wise and VRAM wise so I doubt it.

Not surprising if mining demand is higher than ever. I wonder what percentage of newly produced cards just straight up end up in a farm.
I don't wanna know tbh. I have a feeling that number is fucked up high. Esp since so many miners are chinese, right at the source grabbing cards before any distributor gets their hands on them.

They sell very well at the right price. Can't get your hands on a 3090 Founders Editions (those are forced to be sold at MSRP) if your life depended on it.
And that's 1500 bucks for a GPU.
And on ebay they still go for anywhere from 2500 to 3000€ easy.

A big chunk of those go to miners and system integrators due to existing deals and underhanded shenanigans. Few of them end up in your store of choice.

3090 sells well because people buys it for workstations, 3000 euros is still good price for that usage, but for gaming, only retards will buy it for that price (thanks nvidia for marketing it as "8K gaming" card).

And if this pandemic keeps going on people will sooner or later be back home with nothing to do -> more orders -> bigger demands.

I still 'member when a 3090 was selling for ~1200€ on last black friday 
Besides, if I'm remembering correctly the "8K gaming card" was debunked right? It didn't even break 30fps on most games.

How are the return for RMA policies these days for GPU companies regarding proof of purchase ?
Do you absolutely need the invoice to proceed with RMA or just having the card registered with the serial number suffice ?
Can they validate the product as been bought legally by looking into the serial number ?
I am asking this because a lot of second hand selling markets have people that are unable to provide an invoice but the cards would be legit.
Would I still be able to RMA one if I bought one second handed without the original invoice if it failed at one point in time within the 3 year period?
Anybody has had experiences with this particular situation and if so, how did it go ?
Do GPU companies still honor the warranty even though you cant provide a proof of purchase ?
