So, how does it work in ME3 for the remaster since there's no multiplayer. More specifically, playing the multiplayer would give you a multiplier that was used to determine your War Readiness score. Now that Multiplayer is gone, have they adjusted the value of War Assets accordingly so that you're not locked into a "bad ending"?

I remember this being a big fuckin' deal back in the day, going so far as to download a mod as to address it on the yarred version.
I played it ~2-3 years back, did none of the MP shit and it was more than enough to get the good ending.

Fair enough, but the Multiplayer multiplier (say that three times fast Very Happy) was still a relatively huge boost to that score.

Also, if I remember correctly, aren't quite a few of the war assets, whether they're even available or not to be found, based on your decisions in both ME1 and ME2? Theoretically, couldn't you still be shit out of luck and locked into a bad ending in ME3 without that multiplier as a crutch?

At launch doing everything perfectly you could only just scrape over the line for the required amount of points with no MP. But they changed that in a later patch and made it a lot easier. But I'm sure it will be easy enough to edit a save to boost the score if absolutely needed, since I saw mention of the fact that it loads vanilla saves just fine.

I've spent more than 60 euros to get all three parts and all the DLCs over the years, so I was really looking forward into pirating this, too bad.

when you think about it, the 1st game is 14 years old, the second 11 years old and 9 years old. And there was trouble getting all the dlc legit. There will be a lot of people who've never touched these games.

No full ultra-wide support, no FOV slider.

Awesome job!11

The remaster is actually really good, with a few issues. You can tell a lot of care and effort has been put into it. And then you have the PC port, which is a steaming pile of ♥♥♥♥. No graphical options, forced mouse acceleration, no FOV slider, pillarboxed ultrawide, the list continues. Hopefully mods and patches will fix the PC port, but I just cannot recommend this until then.

Yea, I never purchased the original trilogy legitimately mainly due to the cluster fuck of incredibly important DLC's associated with it. Even if you wanted to purchase them legitimately, you had to fuck around with "Bio" points and all sorts of garbage. Too much nickel and diming going on.

Having said that, it was still kinda a major pain in the ass to install all the DLC's individually yarred as well (unlockers and whatnot - until they made custom installers that took care of that several years later) - so I don't really feel too guilty about finally dishing out the cash to buy it this time around for one neat, hassle-free package. Besides, I grabbed the Steam version, so EA gets 30% of their cut ripped out of their grubby little hands. Very Happy

I will agree though - much more effort could have been shown with regards to quality of life improvements such as FOV etc.

Many fans of the franchise will gobble whatever hot garbage EA shits in their mouth as long as it has Mass Effect written on it.

I enter in a "Wait for summer Steam sales" mode right now.

I am happy to see all 3 titles together in a "remasterish-ultimatish" edition.

And as long as they put all this money in a proper and quality sequel I am all fine Smile

Oh and at least there are some stuff in the ... Steam Shop ? :

Just get a key for EA Play Pro 1 month from some of the well known sites, they are like 12.5-13 euros. A month is probably enough to finish all 3.

I wonder how much money EA invested in promotional materials / shilling / influencing for this piece of crap port.

I was thinking if this would be possible for Vikerness. It's doable but only if you've played the games before and have a vague idea of what to do/how to do it. And of course, will have to play daily for around 3-4 hours and set difficulty at normal.

1 and 2 are still amazing.

Too bad it's got Denuvo because I was looking forward to playing it again, but not enough to pay $60 for a lazy remaster. Especially since I already bought all games on disc.

I've gotta ask - what has THIS one done to deserve this stupid trend of "early access" being plastered onto the title of every other game thread in this forum? Who edits this stuff?

Seriously. I've got 20 hours into it - not a single crash or game breaking bug in this ME1 (while there were several with the modded original a few years back). Is it just because it's lacking a FOV slider? Are 2 and 3 substantially more buggy? What gives? Scratch Head
