But imho it does not look better than Origins or Odyssey. Yet it runs far, far far worse.
And quite frankly, while Unity could need an update to texture resolution and LOD detail it also still looks amazing. Not as good for the most part but there are moments where it still isn't outmached. And it runs so.. so so so much better. Even with the streets of Paris filled to the brim with people and tons of buildings you can enter.
They definitely skipped optimization entirely on this title.
I love how when a game is sponsored by Nvidia it gets extra features, which usually run better on nvidia hardware, but since they're optional can be disabled resulting in both vendors usually being on similar footing.
But when AMD sponsors a game it runs bad for everyone, but especially bad for nvidia users. With no way around it.
And no RT of course. Not to mention DLSS.
Can't believe the game doesn't even have Fidelity FX / CAS.

game feels very unpolished, from animations, lipsync etc. meh voice acting..feels like syndicate/unity bad. it should have been much better since devs are black flags and origins
Haha yeah, there were many ubithings that I disliked about Origins but stealthing around and toying with the AI in a sandbox-y way was rather entertaining. It was also the last AssCreed that I could finish (not without struggling), with Valhalla ostentatiously wearing the crown of shame.
Never played Black Flag, looking forward to playing that..
Too bad they're so greedy and won't open up for modding like Bethesda has done, some amazing things could've been done with all these games.. all we get now is nude mods and reshades..
I dont get the fuzz about Black Flag, i dont like it since its the same as odyssey (too much sailing).
Its a nice game in itself and the islands are quite pretty, but an AC game has never been identified by sailing around the world and sinking ships. For me an AC is purely landbased/citybased sneaking and killing.
So for me the last good AC was Origins, nice setting and visually great dlcs and after that it went downhill (it did allready after Ezio was done).
The story was fucked after Ezio anyway and the formula got boring, then Black Flag came out and it was a breath of fresh air.
Instead of climbing buildings and exploring alleyways, you had a ship, a crew and could go exploring all the little islands the game world offered. It is still my favourite pirate game unless you also count Zelda Wind Waker, which Black Flag reminded me alot of exploration-wise.
Then came Unity and it was back to the same old tired formula and I was done with the series.
Azar as was born into a wealthy Persian family in the city of Shiraz.
Her father recognised her as a shrewd merchant and put his growing commerce in her capable hands.
Due to the attitudes of the male dominated field, she adopted a masculine name and mannerisms which led to her discovery that she was gender fluid.
Her close friends continued using feminine pronouns as per Azars wish.

In all these recent ubi games you can feel the apathy and exhaustion of the developers as their souls have been squeezed dry of any care. And not long after playing them that you feel the same. they rely on the same gameplay loops way too much, they have excellent artists and composers but fail to innovate in game mechanics. Another game made by corpo suits for shareholders and not to the enjoyment of gamers.
It's a decent open world time waster that most will likely get bored of soon after the prologue which I did. The Viking setting feels improperly used and a missed opportunity. This has to win the least environment variety prize of all AC games with the least interesting story of them all.
