SA is nice, just stay away from the cities Very Happy
Visited it for 2 weeks, a couple of years ago, and we only visited Johannessburg on the last day. Apart from the Apartheid museum, it was totally not worth it, imo. Find a nice place to stay in a wildlife resort and do your excursions from there.

There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.

I need a London buddy on the other side!

...even a Whatsup friend. So I can ask “where the fuck am I” and “WTF is this guy saying” cuz you English and your goofy slang.

Zimbabwe is not South Africa.

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

true it's southern africa and not the country of South Africa but it's the same there, chased off (and/or murdered) the white farmers.

All nature resorts are fenced off, closed areas (there is hardly any true wild nature in S-Africa, unfortunately, only the Kruger park is somewhat open, as it borders Mozambique), and there are often armed guards. The resort we stayed at had no dangerous animals (a few cheetahs, apparently, but they are extremely shy), so we could walk around freely which was by itself an amazing feeling.

I guess it depends on why you are visiting (safari/nature or cities) whether its worth it or not.

I'd rather go to Ireland than London (already been there anyway) but that's just me.

There are no restrictions on flights from the United States to Ireland although the number of available flights is significantly diminished. Aer Lingus, American Airlines, and United Airlines are flying to the United States from Ireland, with limited service from Dublin to Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Newark, and New York.

I re-scheduled my flight Bogota Amsterdam from 2 weeks ago and pushed it 4 months further in time. Flying today is a pure nightmare. I needed 4 PCR tests in total to go back for 2 weeks to Europe with my departure flight which was already 5 times rescheduled by KLM itself... the whole side requirements would almost equal total cost of my flight...
