Looks like these proFeSSionAl derPelopers never heard in their life of games like Max Payne, Die By The Sword, Rune, Enclave...
I DO understand consolisation and streamlining for the needy consoleros (let them have their fun, poor things), but ALSO keep the controls proper, true, natural for PC with M&Kb, damn it!
Watch all vids, like all they showed tho i hope the hud is customizable, the most annoying thing i see is the ammo? counter besides the MC, i hate this, the Division has this also, i bothers me, hope you can disable this. Other then that its fantastic!
I'm both attracted by the flashy extravagance of the art direction and repulsed by it in equal measure, I hope the former can eventually prevail. I also hope the exploration and RPG elements will be meaningful enough to make up for the furriness of the whole thing.
Biomutant’s expansive world consists of 7 biomes, some more hospitable than others. Certain areas are very cold or very hot. Others are radioactive or lack oxygen. These environmental effects will gradually damage players that haven’t built up the appropriate resistances. In addition to what’s above-ground, Biomutant also features an entire underground sewer network that can be explored as well.

Biomutant features choice-driven gameplay and storytelling, and your decisions fall into the light or dark side of the spectrum. Despite how it appears, Experiment 101 stresses there are no “right” or “wrong” choices. Aura is more about your style of approach to situations rather than the morality of it. Your Aura changes throughout the game depending on which direction you lean.

Biomutant’s main story campaign features two major endings based on your decisions and how you deal with the four World Eaters. In addition to that, the Tribe War can wrap up in several different ways depending on what group you choose to ally with and how you interact with the other tribes.
It's really all over the place graphically. Artistically i understand what they're going for, and it's.. not great but not horrible either.
I just don't think any of the trailers gives you any kind of idea of what the world is really like, apart from how it looks and you have a funky character which you can customize. They don't seem to focus on story, quests, NPC's, just combat and especially how the character looks (couldn't care less). I'm not getting a good feeling due to that.
Modern players (I guess those under 18?) just drool every time about character customizations. Personally, I don't give a damn if my character looks like Tinkerbell or Kratos. When I am playing I don't look at it at all. But I see on places with many younger players a lot complains when something has only 2 skins or you can't put tattoos or whatever. Someone here once mentioned that his young nephew was called a "default" and laughed at from his friends in Fortnite for not having skins... It's madness and stupid obsession, IMO.
This game still looks promising, even if maybe it borrowed too much from all kind of games and will be hard to have its own personality outside of "that game you play with a small angry furry". The grass tho is really annoying - it's like a jelly wobbling all the time.
Found some more videos. Borderlands mixed with some Just Cause is the closest thing i can think of when i see the game, i wish it reminded me at least a little bit of ELEX/Gothic, but not getting that vibe at all.
We know everyone is excited but some people still might wonder how certain parts of Biomutant work, how crafting is done and what the Aura system all about.
To that end, we sat down with Stefan Ljungqvist, Art & Creative Director at Experiment 101, and asked him to tell us more about the world of Biomutant. We captured it all in the new Explanation Trailer!
