I hope it dies before it's even born. Hopefully everyone behind this cartel-like idea gets punished for trying to ruing such an old sport which has been doing pretty 'fine' over the years. I can clearly see that broke teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid are all for this due to their financial crisis. I'm ashamed that City is in as well for no reason at all. 'Don't try to fix it if it ain't broken.' This idea is boring when there is no fear factor in terms of dropping to lower tier. Money driven competition where everything seems to lean towards pay-to-win mentality. I don't see it going anywhere. No one wants it, neither the players or the fans. Based on what I've read, players weren't aware of this and are now genuinely pissed. Bruna Fernandes already spoken out, hopefully more will do the same. Let's see what Messi and Ronaldo has to say about it. UEFA should ban CITY, REAL and CHELSEA from the CL semi-finals. The next logical step at this point would be to see some more heads roll but it's not an easy one, all it takes is an apology to the fans and everything will be forgotten. As far as I know Agnelli hasn't said anything yet, but since the Superderp League was/is his pet project I expect some sort of reaction. Hopefully it's the beginning of the end for the Glazers. Clearly the ESL was their end goal all along, which now appears to be dead in the water. Last night was a nadir for their ownership of the club and their position is untenable. I also hope the government follow up on their commitment to football club ownership. There desperately needs to be reforms to mirror the Bundesliga ownership model.

Ligue 1 is as worst as Bundesliga. LaLiga has at least 2 teams, Serie A is in a very strange situation where the best players seem to be the ones almost (or already) past their peak.

In Premier League there is no way that any top team can have any player and coach they want. And I mean ANY player or coach. Yes there had been some transfers between the big clubs but there is not a single club which owns the league like eg. Bayern is doing in Germany.

Indeed, it was an important win. First half was usual City in CL (scared and shy), but Pep did his magic at the half time and we saw City we used to see in previous games.

The game is halfway though so it is too early to get excited. Smile
