They failed in delivering either a RPG or an open-world game, effectively only producing a mediocre mix-up of the two. Sad

I know that feel(tm)
While I can't deny that witnessing the hilarious compilations of cyberbugs 'n memes was fun in a semi-masochistic way, truth to be told, it still hurts to see how the whole project was (mis)handled in such a blatantly amateurishly way by boldly promising the unachievable, thus permanently harming a reputation and consequently ending up like the most iconic Icarus of the modern gaming world.

Although my expectations have always been on the reasonably realistic side and I'll probably enjoy it anyway for what it is after all the Earlyaccessing is over* (I've only done the prologue/some random performance isotesting out of curiosity), the disappointment will always be there Sad Laughing

*not much different from how it is now I suspect, miracles can only go so far and modders have slowly but steadily been losing interest as well

Online games like WoW are patched like weekly or something, has been for what, 16 years? Bloodlines would not make even a top 50 i bet..

Hmmmmmmm

*small additional content*
Abandon all hope, you who expected free expansion sized DLC's for this. At least this year. Though from the way they dealt with pretty much everything after this train wreck of a release, wouldn't be surprised if it's not just this year.
Well, unless they're somehow referring to the "big stuff" as an update, and that it *won't* be free? If so, the reaction to that ought to be good Laughing

No. Maybe you didn't, but I played better games that CP2000 before and after The Witcher 3.

The version on current consoles (ps5, Xbox x/s) is the last-gen version, indeed.

I don't think anyone even uses the term "last-gen/current-gen/next-gen" in regards to GPU's (seeing how fast the cycle is there) and PC games.

Installed 1.2 gog just for shits and goggles, and well at least on the nomad start the two assholes that were sitting on air (and on each other J Browman) in the middle of the road are gone now! Or probably correctly placed but I didn't look for them that hard. So at least that was fixed.
Still, gonna probably wait until everything for the game is released, and then for unofficial patch mods and whatnot.

I said, "AND PC Games". Obviously, there are next/last/current-gen GPUs. BUT I don't think anyone ever used PC Games + Gen of GPU as a reference. Not like with Consoles anyway.

Moot point anyway, they're not talking about PC, but about the Xbox x/s/PS5 versions.

(Yes, the use of "it's made for current/last/next-gen hardware is used, but there are no different versions of the same game for it ^^)

Video games maker CD Projekt has no plans to shelve Cyberpunk 2077 and is committed to fixing glitches to make its flagship game a long-term success after a troubled rollout, joint chief executive Adam Kicinski told Reuters.

“I don’t see an option to shelve Cyberpunk 2077. We are convinced that we can bring the game to such a state that we can be proud of it and therefore successfully sell it for years to come,” Kicinski said.

So, they're going to completely redesign (or properly design most parts to begin with) the game?
Just glitches might be doable I guess... but that wouldn't really change much IMHO.

Set it officially in Early Access (-like) status and we're all set.

They can fix, add, improve, remove whatever they want in this scenario.

I've finished the game with 1.05 version a few months ago; did pretty much all of the side quests except those multiple driving/boxing/taxi related ones. Don't recall any bugs worth mentioning. I expected the story to be more cliche (with Keanu Reeves), but was actually OK and it's the only thing there which kept me pushing to finish the game. The world is pretty bland and underwhelming compared to e.g. RDR2 (or even something basic like Mafia 3), car driving felt horrible, motorcycle was at least acceptable. Didn't like shooting and levelling mechanics, the weapons are limited in number as most are just leveled variations of the same one or two dozen weapons, most of the character upgrades are generic. It also bothered me that in that kind of a future I have to drive around myself and also, instead of actually making a metro subway and some raised train system, they just made those lame teleporter stations.

Wouldn't consider doing another playthrough, like ever. Don't think they could do much to fix the main issues which are related to the basic design and core systems. Better to work on a sequel from scratch with lessons learned and open this one for modders, IMHO.

Dude, many on pc played and completed it (and I even liked some parts), but don't say there are no bugs. That's completely and utter bullshit.

It's pretty good now actually, if your not a moaner Wink Had the game released before all the spoilt brats got the Witcher 3 (which was a buggy mess back then) etc, then there would be no problem at all with it Smile People have 'short' memories these days Wink, regardless, play and enjoy!, more so, if you picked it up for fuck all, which most have, and are still moaning about it Wink
