Stuttering and Frame Rate Issues
We are aware of an issue with our DX12 implementation that can cause PC players to encounter stuttering, a hard crash or shader cache issues due to an overloaded CPU.
We are investigating this urgently and hope to provide a resolution in the near future.
POTENTIAL WORKAROUND:
Please also check whether you have the latest NVIDIA Game Ready installed. We have heard that there might be issues with is. If you currently have the latest driver already installed, please consider rolling back to the previous driver to see if this affects anything.
Alternative Workarounds:
Disable Ansel
Disable DLSS
Turn Vsync off
Enable your FPS Limiter and choose various limits to see if improvements are made
Ensure Controller Configuration is supported EVEN IF YOU'RE NOT PLAYING WITH A CONTROLLER (thread)
Play in Windowed Mode
Please note that we are also aware of an issue whereby stuttering can occur whenever you visit a new area or encounter new enemies/powers etc. This should only occur the FIRST time, however, with subsequent visits being stutter-free.
I used "-force -dx11" and it reduced the stuttering by a LOT. So much, that it's now actually fun to play. I'll keep it (again, 20$ is fine by me)
Gonna try some of the other suggestions, to see if that helps even more.
To my surprise i enjoy this, played 4 hours and had a lot of fun, kinda mix of Gears and Borderlands.. also lol i like the story\world so far.
First thing i did is to change the hud, i don't need xp bars and such, so it's good you can change almost any part of the hud.
So far it is okay. A decent time-waster for now. 6-7 rating range.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
In no way this is like Borderlands! Borderlands had style, originality, unique characters, charm, personality.
This is a cashgrab that imitates Destiny 2. It has taken abstract proven functional features and implemented them correctly. But it lacks soul and uniqueness.
Just look at the cover art. LOOK at it, I say! See the emptiness and shallowness oozing from that?
WHAT?! No?! Ahem. Well... um... I don't blame you... You're a normie, after all.
It's nothing like Borderlands. BL1-3 are a total blast to play and had everything. This is more of a Division/Gears type generic shooter with loot, dull non-existing characters and story. Most of the skill tree is pretty standard buff/cooldowns..zzz.
AI is better than most games though. They don't always sit and wait for you but rather always try to flank and attack you. Can get annoying if you are on a higher world tier and not decked out.
It's okay overall. Decent shooter/co-op game to pass time when servers aren't down. Nothing special nor you going to miss anything by not playing. It's perfect for GamePass.
