No cheat ?
I tell you a little story.
I had 7 planet, the enemy controlled 1.
The enemy income 28 credit all in six round, and he was build 3 middle class ship, during 6 round. (LOL)
Otherwise, he was 1900 credit, but after that 6 round, he got 2400 credit.
How ?
28*6=168-price of 3 middle class ship+1900=2400 ?
I think, he got a new matematic era or fund himself a creditcard.

Unless set above intelligent the AI does not cheat. That is how it is written. And when set above intteligent the ONLY 'cheat' they get are bonuses to income/money. SO make sure that the AI (not the game difficullty, the AI) is not set above intelligent.
OR he could have destroyed a bunch of stuff and got them. OR he could have threatened for the money (as mentioned above), heck maybe he took out a lease o nteh ship. Meh.

Yes it works. I installed the reloaded version and used the serial from the IND release (the one with the four files, etc). The serial is in the data.ini when you open the archive. Then I just applied the patch and works fine.

1 middle class ship building time with 1 planet 6-11 week (with 100% Military rate), or you buy that ship 300-500 credit. (depending on circumstances). He not buy the ship or he would be got 300-500 credit minus.
But the CPU player of credits growing during all rounds.
I now tried the enemy how long get profit. (New game with Normal Difficulty)
I was go with my 2 fleet to the enemy planet (he hold just one) and i always destroyed the new builded ship.
He builded all 2 round 1 ship, at 59 round lenght, and he always got earning.
I asking a question, he whereby buy the ships ?

The AI does not cheat. Trust me, if that were the case, the galciv forums were full of that by now. Just read a bit the forums, and see how the AI smokes all the players untill they learn to play intelligently, and then the game becomes fun . Until then, set the AI to "dumb as a door knob" and experiment.

LOL.
No cheat ?
Please try make one middle class ship with one planet, during 2 round (LOL) with earnings. (cant buy it)
The CPU can do that.
If you can build a middle class ship 2 week with 1 planet, just copy here that picture.

I'm not the one who developed the game. If u say so, be it your way. I'm just enjoying the game as it is. If i can beat the game, i consider myself better than an AI that cheats(according to you). If not, i'll try again. In no way an Ai can do better than a human mind, even with cheats as you say.

@Jakuza: Oh ffs... Did you pay for the game? Apparently not, so cut your whining as you don't have any right to complain. It's obvious you either just suck at it, or you're too stupid to notice that you might have the wrong AI settings as it was mentioned several times and you didn't even tell us that you checked that. It wouldn't amaze me at all if you changed something in the options without even understanding what it is because you obviously can't speak english...

Bah, yes I'm cranky right now. So what...

Jakuza :

I guess you're talking about campaign mode.
Being a campaign the players don't start 'at balance' and as you certainly would know if you read the introductions the dread lords starts with a tremendous technological advantage.

The case about ai not cheating is in the 'custom game' , ie the civ4 like type of game in which you pick up the galaxy size, the race to play , the intelligence level for each opponent and so on !

That's it? Should have guessed it... Damn, who would have thought that a game called "Galactic Civilizations II - Dread Lords" actually gives the Dread Lords race some sort of advantage in the campaign? Rolling Eyes

That time the CPU player had 1 factory.
I spied he. And he builded 1 ship being 2 round, if he would be got minus credit, i should say nothing, but he grew with every bought.
That was a cheat.

I know how the Dread Lords start with advantage.
But this race was the Drengin Empire, and i started with him equal conditions.

Yes my English speak is very bad.
And ?
You speak something another language better then me ?
Maybe you can try speak with me Magyar,РОССИИ,Italiano or Deutsch language ?
Or you are too stupid for that ? I cant changed the options, i cant did that to High level.
That was happen Cakewalk,Easy,Simple and normal difficulty too. Same all in the Campaign Mode .
I cannot help it how you are too blind, and you cant see when the CPU get a little help.

They even state in the manual (which I pressume you didn't bother to read) that people whined about the AI cheating on the first game, so they specifically state exactly what the AI is capable of at each difficulty.

So don't bullshit about the AI cheating, because it doesn't at the lesser difficult levels.

This game is just what i needed, since Civ4 was a disapointment to me. Still experimenting with it, and the way they have made the tuturial is really nice! alot better then all the other tuturials where you have to play through it all to boring parts just to get some info on a few things.

Edit: Do you really have to build your own spaceships ?!

Hahaha. I played my first game and didn't expand very fast to start. I just took a second Class 4 planet. The computers were on easy mode. I watched as the Yellow PC slowly raped all of the other PC's before I lost to him due to culture. I was way ahead for tech but I didn't bother going on the offense not to mention I didn't figure out trade routes until 20 turns from losing. Now that I think about it I could have gotten out of a cultural loss by spending some of that 18000br I had in a stock pile, bought some ships instead of building them and then attacked.

Next game maybe I'll get lucky. The computers were on easy too, how embarassing.

Hahaha yeh thats exactly what happened to me. I was trying to figure out what planets I could colonize, good thing I bought it and had the manual. I couldn't form any alliances with other races though. I tried to ally myself with the Yellow guy who was laying down the rape but I could only ever ask a PC to make an alliance with another PC instead of myself. Did you have the same problem?

Haha, exactly the same!

But i think you have to research somethings to make alliances, not sure though.

Hmm. I did research 'Alliances' and thats what made it so I could ask a PC to ally with another PC but not myself. Maybe there is something farther down the techline. There are so many choices. I found the ship builder a little overwhelming with all the options. I spent 30min making a cool looking ship and then like 10 turns later its out of date.

I start the game and I get a black screen then it drops. Not sure why it keeps dropping maybe pixel shader version? I know I couldnt run studds the zombie but atleast it didnt drop, I just couldnt see anything on screen.

edit:
When I patched it, it told me the game needed 32-bit color. So I set it and it worked.

You can have the computer auto build a ship with the most advanced components, you just have to select the weapon and defense type.

Alliances are only available to you when you have a very good relationship with the target civ you want to ally yourself with (very very green). Getting it very very green is simple get a good relationship and gift them stuff the usual.

Oh, and for the creating ship option i upgrade my cool looking ship instead of building one from scratch every time. Then upgrade the entire class (as long as its the same hull type) to make it neat.
