Man the shitshow they got themselves into - bad bad, actually terrible management at it's finest. I think this could be used as a fine example on "how to not" for brand marketing.
Is this game still relevant or it's fading away? Except being an example of a hyped failure?

Not seeing absolutely any news about it for almost 2 weeks anywhere makes me think people already forgot about it. Aside from the hacking thing, of course.
But it's a good game despite all the bugs and emptiness at times. Look at those cute Wing Chun Cyberarms. How can you not love this?
The game isn't bad, but not good either. There are dozens of 7.5-rated games being released all the time.
My guess is those who played it probably won't (all) return, as there's little replayability.
The multiplayer plans à la GTA Online they had seem completely buried as well
If you haven't, I'd still give it a try, even if it's just to drive around and see the RTX implementation, which is pretty impressive at times.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.
Just don't expect any wonders. The different game systems are pretty much flawed at their core and apart from bugfixing, the experience will otherwise be pretty much the same. As explained in the (pretty good!) review posted above, just adding more side-content will not make the game better.
Best experience would probably be to focus on the main story + the important sidequests (Judy, Panam, River, ...), while ignoring the gigs.

Ignore all this, magical patches are coming, you'll see. It will be another NMS/FO76 turnaround.
Spoiler:
Yeah right
CDPR's silence speaks volumes...

The fact that you can't skip INTRO movies in this game is a sad sign of corporate bullshit practices infection for CPR.
And it terms of technical failures, having a modern FPS game without the possibility to turn OFF mouse acceleration - the most derp sign of consolisation / half-ass control - is unforgivable. HOW can you NOT do the most important thing in your game (game controls) at the same level that 15 years old PC games have done it before?!

I think it's fading fast because patches aren't coming fast enough and most people who had an interest in it already played it. CDPR fans have been in mourning since the release. The game isn't as bad as some people say, but the hype murdered it. Currently averages roughly the same number of players as TW3, which is a six-year-old game at this point.
...and it's still relevant to them, it's getting a rather large next-gen update.
I don't think they can really afford to just let it fade. with afford i mean losing credibility, which is not just about the fans, but about investors, media etc. That would be a dumb move, it will hurt future sales/games from them. say what you want about them (i'm no fan) but abandoning their games is not something they are known for.
It's not what they are known for, but their other games had......depth....
There isn't really anything they could do to this game (besides go back in time and not release it and make it completely different) to make it be similar to their other titles regarding depth/replayability/etc.
Still holding off my playthrough for the next patch, got more than enough on my plate to disregard it for the time being, and there's always the hope they improve on the immersion-breaking issues, which are the most important to me.

I have an interesting problem. I downloaded the 1.12 Codex update. I mistakenly dropped the crack files into the folder before I ran the update!!! DOH So I tried to install the update but of course it wouldn't install? The game starts up and it says I am on 1.12 and it will play from my save file. So I deleted the crack files and the game still plays?? Any info on why it still works?
I thought that but after looking at the crack files there was no .exe? Anyway I'm playing ISOdemo for now and will buy it as soon as it becomes available under $30CAD. Although CDkeys has it for $32CAD right now! UMMMM
Then it's very likely that you play the pre-1.12 version and it just says it's 1.12, because of the exe. As long as it doesn't makes calls to files or code that doesn't exists, you're "fine".
