I don't think I will ever public transport without a mask again, even post covid fuck those sneezing must go to work sick assholes. Masks being frowned on in western culture is dumb, I don't see how protecting ones self or others from sickness when you have the option to is intelligent behavior.

Depends, required by law, or by most stores?
By law? No our governor is all in on covid is no big deal. Go about your live as normal, splurge. Go head and get that lapdance and self serve food buffet at the strip club (yes we have those..for some reason, and they are open), and just ignore the elephant.

But most big/chain retailers in Florida require you to have one. Other than walmart...they are more "We really really urge you to, but come on in without it if you insist".

In Sweden there's nothing mandatory whatsoever, just "recommendations", even when it comes to packed public transports (buses, commuter trains etc.).

I was looking up reusable masks with filters online the other day and nearly every single one looked like they were made of cutesy girl panties... wtf?! Mad

I've only seen a few people here and there wear masks. And people generally don't want to look "dorky" by wearing masks in public. Bleh for our National Health Department.

We had mandatory mouth/nose masking in stores but as the cloth masks "only" protected others from your snot (at least a little bit), they are now no longer allowed either. It's surgical masks or ffp2/kn95 masks from now on. So lidl started to give away the cloth masks for free Laughing

Some weeks ago it was just the same in Sandefjord, or at least Stokke where I live. I would not like to live in Bergen or Oslo now... or ever when I think about it Laughing Laughing

Not Oslo, never. Bergen ain't so bad though. Only been there once when i was dating some girl in eons past, but it really is a nice city. Fortunately barely anything here in Ulsteinvik. Usually crappy polish, Lithuanian etc workers bringing it.

It's been mandatory for almost a year now, with no exceptions apart from when driving your own car alone or alongside family members. Hell, many districts around here have gone back to full-lockdown again..for the umpteenth time. The incredibly sloth-like vaccination plan with its bureaucratic monsters definitely isn't helping, and neither is a government that just casually threw itself under the bus in the middle of a pandemic :')

I think i've seen perhaps 5 people wearing masks since this shit started.. honestly there's not much difference in Sweden, there's the recommendation of 1.5m distance in the shops and there's just a limited number (which is extremely high) that can be inside at the same time, where i shop the limit is 115, max i've ever seen in that store in 10 years is perhaps 25 people.

Still mandatory here in public but you'll see a huge part just putting it under their chins or letting their noses stick out. People are tired.

Masks are required in public spaces with multiple people around - shops, public transport, etc. Everywhere else masks are just a recommendation.

In required spaces folks mostly wear masks without covering their noses Very Happy

I think at some places it is mandatory, like the hospital, dentist (for some weird reason since you need to remove it anyway).

But yeah, its weird why its not mandatory here. Ive used it a couple of times when outside (but I dont go outside often now that i study from home).
My gf use them daily, but thats cos she is working in a laboratory.

shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

The thing about recommendations vs "required and enforced" is that most people dont really care. It would be like the police/govnerment says we recommend to use a seatbelt while driving. Just as we got the mask law in our county/kommune they also started with limit in all stores. 45 people in a grocery store that iv pretty much never seen more than that limit EVER anyways.

Then again govnerment owned stores like liquour store here have had a strict "number policy" for more than 6 months. Because its very small (smaller than a 7eleven) where I live its been from 5-7 people at a time.

@Ankh
When I was at the dentist not that long ago they disinfect the chair and whatnot after each client they have. But what I found strange was that I had to "wash" my mouth with regular water for 1 minute before my check. That was one long minute Laughing Why it wasnt mouthwash or some type of alcohol I have no idea... probably to expensive Laughing
