Yeah, the game shows gigantic xbox prompts when you habe mouse and keyboard selected. You can barelly navigate the fucking menu. Scrool wheel is confirm, right click is back. The sensitivity in game was extremely high, i cant seem to lower it. The game shows something like L to confirm and K to go back ? Some nonsense like that. This is not PC ready.

I honestly cant play it. I have no ideea what this fucking game wants me to press. It has in its options something like RB = 3 shift

I was able to customize my keys after like an hour of trial and error. I even had some conflicting keys that blocked my attacks and object interaction for no reason. Left/right mouse input is still changing the locked target as in the previous game despite being able to rebind this now.

The performance is abysmal. As soon as the ps3 era particle effects pop up on the screen, I drop from 120fps to 50. It's unbearable.

Just did two first areas and it plays great. I think that I'll be enjoying it more than the 1st instalment which was good and all but never bothered to finish it.
I'm using controller and having a blast with no issues what so ever.
So I'm surprised why so low rating on steam? Is it just because m&k controls are half-assed? But real samurais use controllers anyway Wink

For anyone still using Win7 like me it's worth to mention that it works after copying xinput1_3.dll file from system32 folder to the game installation and renaming it to xinput1_4.dll. Although fullscreen crashes the game, surprisingly the broderless mode feels just as fluid and responsive as in fullscreen so I'm very happy with the performance Very Happy

Did they add keyboard icons yet?

The keyboard controls are beyond amateurish. Some of the controls are hardcoded and even if you can rebind them, you can still trigger those actions through other means. Laughing

The game displays DS4 icons if you have a DS4 plugged in.

It does there is a switch in the control options for Xbox or PS icons.

Why surprised people have a DS4 gamepad? It's the best gamepad actually, it has the least latency, though it should be used wireless for best result.

Never played the first one.. Gonna give this one a try.

Might have something to do with them advertising that the game was going to work properly this time around, and it doesn't. Wink

It's a great game but the K/M support is terrible, as per usual. And reviews should show that.

Anyway, currently doing a fist/claw build, it's incredibly powerful even in the early game if you learn to use the skills properly. I'm blasting through regular enemies, Yokai and even most bosses thus far. Does require great Ki-management through flux and ki pulses though.


Making a game like this work with k/m is just a fools errand the game is from ground up built to be played with a gamepad. They did what they could and that's about it just get a gamepad you lazy bums.
You don't play fighting games with k/m either or flight simulators (yeah i know some ppl probably do shudder) you use a arcade stick/joysticks.
Just because you play on pc doesn't mean you have to play absolutely everything with k/m, use the correct input peripheral the game was made to be played with or deal with a subpar experience it's your choice really.

Stop coming up with these cheap excuses for terrible ports. There's nothing in this game that cannot work great on mouse and keyboard. The developers just did an extremely poor job at porting the controls. For crying out loud, they put the swapping targets on mouse input and the rebinds don't overwrite this...

Yes they are superior. Also, everyone is supposed to have a gamepad in 2021. How else you gonna play games like middle-earth, batman, dark souls, nioh, etc without one. M&K lol, can't even imagine.

On another note.. This game is a testament of how bad I've become at video games. And if I'm bad at video games, how am I good at anything else IRL related ?! Very Happy Seriously, stuck at 3rd boss, Enenra. I understand how to beat it, but man do I lack patience.
