Sky Sharks - Son! I'm so fucking disappointed/10
Started as some quality B-movie supersoldiernazexploitation movie but apparently after 45 minutes the budget run out. Still better because the script run out after 10 minutes and ended in 3/4 of original plot summary from IMDB. Where there was money there was quality effects and make up and even some animated exposition. But when the money ended and imagination I got served up what the intern could find on royalty-free stock footage (tm). And at least 45 minutes of it.
In the end I don't know what the plot was except that there was a nazi super soldier serum that turned them to zombies that fly sky sharks.

Oh mate I'm above none. Sorry for offending you, I mean that Smile But you do realize that the joker in the movie is wrong and insane, right? Apart from outcast edgy 15 year olds nobody aspires to be THAT Joker.

the little things 8/10

great acting, +2 for originality, very nice plot twist -1 for not using the villain enough , its like as if the movie is 30 mins to short, some bits missing, could have been a ten if they had made it an hour extra with more detective stuff

gave me a little true detectiv vibe, but not enough

The Captive (2014) - 4.5/10

Hmm, difficult viewing, not just subject matter, but the way they have filmed it. Was lost a couple of times through this, and the ending was meh.

The Little Things - 6,5/10

An atmospheric slow-paced old-school (mostly) thriller starring Denzel, Rami Malek and Leto, a terrific cocktail on paper but...between the omnipresent deja-vu and the editing with cuts that would suit some low-budget TV production the movie just preferred to lay low and do its own thing in a discreet and almost amateurish way. I liked how the ending was executed though, it kind of subverted my expectations(tm)

The Devil All the Time - 7/10

Just like the above, it had the potential to be truly great but instead, it just turned into a rather unfocused yet well-acted thriller-ish minestrone. Its slow realistic pacing and grim tone mixing questionable Murikan religious nutjobs with more conventional sociopaths made it interesting, too bad it couldn't properly build up tension in order to really shine. Still, it's a respectable attempt *praises the dioporco*

Not bad, well acted and well tought but too simple in execution, lacking some punch.

A very solid Sci-fi popcorn flick. Thumbs up from me

(fuck scores).

Guess Netflix can make a good movie after all, as long as they aren't made in the US Smile

The Help - 6/10
Good acting, a gorgeous Jessica Chastain can't save a slavery-as-service-in-the-50s-US-of-A movie. Viola Davis said it best: "I know that if you do a movie where the whole premise is, I want to know what it feels like to work for white people and to bring up children in 1963, I want to hear how you really feel about it. I never heard that in the course of the movie." Spot on.

Gran Torino (rewatch) - 8/10
Good ole same ol' same ol'. A must.

Every James Bond movie ever released.
I just finished watching them all in just 1 month.

Average score is quite good at all of them apart from the ones from the 90s and Casino Royale från 1967.

Other ones I think is bad (but not as bad as the 90s Bond) are most of Roger Moores. Hes great as bond, but some of the movies are just too much

Next up is 3 documentaries about Bond...and after that, apart from the new Bond, I dont think i wanna watch bond movies again lol

shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

Another Round (also known as Life pre-Covid: The Movie) - 8% BAC

That was a pleasant surprise. Such a simple, yet complex concept, a fascinating rollercoaster of emotions that I wasn't expecting. The direction is excellent and so is the believable acting from everyone involved, with good ol' Mads delivering as per usual. Alcohol is no longer part of my routines these days but this movie sneakily sowed the seeds of Bacchus in my glass, dammit.

It reminded me a bit of Se7en.

The ending was unexpected and I'd say it was a pleasant surprise.

Gone Girl (2014) - 7.5/10

A long one this (2.5 hours), and a troubled story, but stick with it, as it's very clever. Ben does a great job here, and there is some tongue & cheek, but it just reminds me of how 'bitches' are just that Smile Good watch.
