In March, Legendary set a writers room to work on the script for the project with scribes like Terry Rossio (“Pirates of the Caribbean”), T.S. Nowlin (“The Maze Runner”), J. Michael Straczynski (“Sense8”), Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne (“Star Trek Beyond”), Jack Paglen (“Transcendence”), Lindsey Beer (“The Kingkiller Chronicle”) and Cat Vasko involved.
The film will be the fourth movie in a series that began with Garth Edwards’ 2014 “Godzilla” reboot, continued with Jordan Vogt-Roberts’ “Kong: Skull Island” earlier this year, and will next sees Michael Dougherty’s “Godzilla: King of the Monsters” arriving in 2019.
“Godzilla vs. Kong” is now set to rule on a Memorial Day weekend, opening May 22nd 2020. Wingard’s next feature, a film adaptation of the acclaimed manga “Death Note,” hits Netflix in July. |

Well if it's jap-zilla, then Godzilla would win hands down since kong is just a big monkey that got killed by a couple of fucking biplanes.
But if it's shitty gay ass yank-zilla, I guess they'll be equally matched before becoming bros after kong yells out Martha or some shit...

Gee wilikers toni, a movie thats coming out in select theaters and a streaming service during a pandemic surely wouldn't bring in the big bucks

Well duh theyre gonna build a mecha to stop them from destroying the city and its gonna go crazy and do worse damage and they're gonna both fight it. Which is laaaame. Theyll tame the kong and godzilla will take mecha to the depths of the ocean and it'll be nice and quiet and then you'll have a post credit sequence of mecha rebooting and summoning other monsters.
Soooo gaaaaye.

But then they need a bigger boat to transfer Kong.
And godzilla looks massive and bigger than the ship transporting kong. But then its same size as kong. I dont understand. Is it like the first godzilla movie where his size is random per scene? Are we gonna see kong look up at godzulla in one shot, and then godzilla looks straight at kong in the next?
It looks awesome not gonna lie, but seriously...

The western rim.
Motrha returns and Kong has flashbacks from skull Island where Mothra killed kongs parents. Sworn to get revenge Kong tries to attack both godzilla and Mothra only to find out that godzilla and Kong share a common enemy. Martha.
Godzilla and king Kong then team up and sync up so that they are able to pilot mecha godzilla and fight. Idris Elba shows up in force ghost form and gives them both an empowering pep talk.
