His build on the custom PC I really liked too (I always enjoy his channel when I see it in recommended):
I want to try his old monitor to frosted glass sunlight simulated lighting too...one day..maybe.

The shit I had to put up with...
While my friends played SF2 on their SNES, I had to swap disks after every battle.
I remember the ensuing rage whenever someone decided to change the stage, resulting in one extra disk swap
7 disks, right? Man, the PC version was great in comparison especially MK II. MK 1 was.. well now in retrospect terrible with the horrible delays, but MK II was... TIGHT!
I had it on PC so.. The less I had to fiddle with discs the more I could fiddle my diddle On Amiga I only had the absolute classics. Toki (the fuck, in my mind this looked 10x better than donkey kong country xD), Shadow of the Beast 2, IK Plus etc.
I think the most discs for one game I had was like 30ish. On amiga.
Or maybe dos. Have to research. Beneath a steel sky had 15
Edit: of course, Biing!! with 19 discs, lol.
30 disks? Are you sure about that? Ive got quite a collection but no game on 30..
Biiing was on 19 disks but it was installed on HD. Beneath a Steel Sky was 15 disks.
I remember the disk swapping days, playing Monkey Island 2 before I got a HD for my A500 and later an Amiga 1200 with internal HD:
Quote:
"Please Insert Disk 2"
(20 seconds disk access)
"Please Insert Disk 1"
(20 seconds disk access)
"Please Insert Disk 2"
(20 seconds disk access)
"Please Insert Disk 1"
(20 seconds disk access)
"Please Insert Disk 2"
(20 seconds disk access)
"Please Insert Disk 9"
(20 seconds disk access)
"Please Insert Disk 4"
(20 seconds disk access)
"Please Insert Disk 11"
I was really driving me mad. Even with an extra drive (DF1: ) you had to swap almost as much since the data being loaded was spread out and organized in a way that prioritized the most effective use of space instead of the most effective layout for loading.
