My biggest endeavors in the end was glitch-rushing 7 level 1 characters to hell, then doing their hellforge quests on nightmare and hell for the rune drops (up to Vex in hell i think), then immediately deleting all of them. I could do that in ~3 hours, had 8 clients open at a time and the payoff was ~1 Ist, 2 Ums on average
You needed a Sorc on classic that could solo a 8 player game until Hell Meph, and another sorc on xpac that could also solo 8p hell up to the hellforge. The level check against rushing level 1 characters to hell was in act 5 when you did the ancients quest, required level 20, 40, 60 on the different difficulties. But if you rushed them through classic, no act 5, no level gating. So you rushed the characters to act 4 hell in classic, converted them to xpac, that threw them back to act 1, and from there you rushed them in xpac, grabbing all those delicous runes. But you had to gear up 2 specialized sorcs, and especially classic was hard to do because very few people played that and gear and some of the game rules worked very differently there. Good times

They've already claimed it's totally impossible to remaster the game (yet this does look pretty much as good as one can ask of a remaster, i'd say even better than many other commercial remasters i've seen).

This interests me way more than modern ARPG's, they really nailed the atmosphere and level design in this game.
That the project wouldn't have turned out the same without Jim Vesalla.
He's the one that suggested Petroglyph, went to dig for the archive.
Now don't get me wrong ofcourse you can bestow a lot of praise on to petroglyph/Klepacki. But without Vesalla it most likely would have turned into a cashgrab like Actiblizz did with WC3.
I was a bit in a rush before (was heading out) I didn't notice I only said 'him' in that post and didn't at least mention his name once. And ofcourse phrasing it as 'did' instead of what he did/was behind it... did not help either.
Some companies release games every year, others every decade. I want to see Diablo 4, Warcraft 4 with Dota mechanics, push the industry, etc, not a 20 years old game with 2 replaced textures.

if the wc3 regorged team was disbanded then that game really is dead as its still missing tons of clan functions n multiplayer stuff, to this day peoplee still spam on the wc3 forum to add the missing promised features rofl, screaming into an empty soulles lifeless void

of which they very likely had the source code and it wasnt such an old game, d2 source code is gone and nobody remembers how it all really worked, so unless one of the original d2 guys says on their twitter they working with them , they are fighting a battle they cant win
they probably are being forced to use the d3 or 4 engine (which will make it look completely different to expectations ), they are in for pure agony from all the die hards waiting to nail em to the coffin if droprates or mechanics are even the slightest off
maybe it will be a strest test for d4 engine, which will make everyone guiny pigs
also the mini remake of d1 in d3 u can play for two weeks each januari of the year ( dont ask why only one month a year .. blizretarded logic) event also was super lackluster and super pale , d3 engine just cant deliver the needed gore n atmosfear

These vids are not realtime, as in, captured gameplay is rendered and upscaled, and I think he mentioned somewhere it takes days for the AI to upscale one of those video's. One could only hope this will ever be reality....only Diablo game I'd ever need.
