Guy also never pretended to have seen 100% of the game in 30 hours either, take the hint.
Getting data from some Maelstrom hideout, come back to get something through the roof, jump up, get teleported 300m away into the water in front of the port

When I've stated that I've seen everything I mentioned:
weapons
skills
hacks
etc...so I meant gameplay features and not all the story stuff.
I'm really not interested in the story anymore since it's shit.
......does anyone here actually LIKE the UI in this game?
I disabled the healthbar (the visual effect of low health is more than enough and ur near invincible anyway), the hints, the objective (J to see), and left just the near useless minimap.
At first I just couldn't get over how cluttered the screen looked with HUD elements.

Yeah, that interface is as buggy as hell (and clearly shows its unfinished):
-Some items have no icons
-The upper MAP/CHAR/JOURNAL etc part gets misplaced sometimes
-Crafting/dismantling is actually laughable with no feedback sound or anything
-The item part is really bad: even after several hours I have trouble finding out which item I have equipped from all the weapons, and also which is legandary, which is common etc.
-Journal has no use since all the mission descriptions are like "hehe this is a good mission"
-Minimap: they were able to squeeze a little bug here as well: if you turn on legends and want to scroll all the icons it will zoom the map while scrolling the legend
-Minimap: in some situations you can take control of some of the map icons using WASD
-Also foreign subtitles "transition" effect only works if the subtitle is one line length. If it is two or more lines the transition effect will be misplaced
-Difficulty selection screen will vibrate if selecting easy and then hovering over hard.
But at least you can disable the right corner on screen hints that tells you that left mouse click is for shoot.
Finished, and according to in-game timer, it took me 55 hours (12.5 according to Steam )
(did everything except epistrophy (bugged), fist fights and most of the gigs)
Everything has been said several times before. It's not a bad game, but it's also super shallow, and without the voice acting/character models, there's not much of redeeming value remaining.
The world itself looks nice (from a distance ), but not futuristic enough, I think. I'd expect a lot more camera's/(digital) surveillance/big brother stuff, and resulting paranoia coming of it. The quest with the politicians was pretty cool in this regard. Gave me a big Philip K. Dick feeling, and I wish there was more of it.
Some annoying bugs (really sucks I couldn't do the car quests), but nothing too exceptional either, on my laptop. At least the game keeps plenty of (auto) savegames But it's not the bugs that are the issue, it's the game itself (or more the lack of it).
The little gameplay that is left is not bad, but nothing exceptional either. I don't think Cyberpunk breaks any new ground or adds anything new and original. Fixing the bugs will not be enough, it will take several DLCs to make it a proper (open world) game. But I doubt the engine is capable of handling it, looking at all the tricks they had to resort to to make it work.
As it is now, multiplayer is dead on arrival. I really don't see it contending with GTA or RDR online In 2023, no one will remember this game but for its terrible release.
One nice touch, I thought, was how some characters, like Judy, would occasionally message you with some news, after completing their storylines.
I played better open world adventures this year (Immortals Fenyx Rising and even AC: Valhalla), as well as better RPGs (Wasteland 3). I still enjoyed it, but it's also extremely disappointing after all the created hype, it's basically Witcher 3 but without personality, and a lot more bugs.
7.5/10
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.
^ Isnt the rating a bit high if its super shallow and theres nothing of value outside the acting and characters ? I agree, the game is spent looking at npc's talk in the main quests and doing the most boring activities outside the main, wraped in an unbalanced and poorly designed game. If the game had 0 bugs, i would have to go to greath lenghts to make the game be a 6, because its frankly lower.

Everyone has it's own oppinion what score the game should get. I would give it 9.5/10 because i didn't dream about unthinkable. I've enjoyed it immensely and didn't find it shallow. To each his own i guess.
Oh btw, there is no need every two posts push your oppinion about this game - we've already acknowledged that you didn't like it. There is no need to write it here every 15 mins. Guess that goes to anybody else who didn't enjoy this game - WE'VE GOT your message already.
i posted 2 times in 3 days in here. Why are you acting personally offended if the game isnt cock sucked ? So everyone who's mouth isnt dripping with cd red's cum should stop posting cause you get it and only people who ignore everything bad should ?
I enjoyed it for what it was but I give it 6/10. Originally was aiming for 7/10 but the main story is on a level of a fanfic. The world building is shit. If someone thinks it was 8 years in making - just lol. The story was clearly rattled on ASAP. There of course are bits of brilliance but overall a fanfic level, a pnp mediocre campaign.
If you think it's great - I would advise reading a few books.

Perhaps my score is a bit generous, but I did enjoy it for what it was (I'm not the kind of person playing a game 55 hours 'looking for the fun' ).
And I can't ignore some of the truly nice (albeit rare) moments experienced. Panam's questline finally gave me the 'I can't put this down until I know where it goes' feeling, I had with Witcher 3, but also Judy had her moments, as well as River (paintballing with the kids was fun, the game lacked a lot of little moments as this, I feel).
Even with bugs/glitches fixed, I won't rate the game (as it currently is) higher than 7.5 either.
But, I did complete the game, which is more than I can say of most titles I played this year

Currently busy with Death's End by Liu Cixin.
So please tell me what's so great in this story? It's hotchpotch of iconic characters mixed together to make some revenge last wish tale. It hops from one iconic character to another, everybody seems to live atleast 100 years although there is almost no information about how. Even Judy seems to be around 50 or 80 years old according to one quest.
Spoiler:
There is almost no pressure on showing the corpos or their ruthlessness. You can find some shards about their shenanigans but you are never shown. Even when you fuck with them the most they can do is strip you of money and chrome The secret ending when I ride the Arasaka tower and choose V - I became the legend of NC but not even that because the blue eyed man is not 100% sure of me. There is no repercusion from Arasaka because of some fart news that Delamain tells me. Come on, come on... Even if I would crumble them or Alt they would still fuck me up good, they fuck up goverments but not good ol' V. They fucked up Johnny Silverhand.
The death of Saburo Arasaka would make an internal war in the corpo, should but here it was an afterthought because everybody somehow expected that. It's just dead a deus ex machina so you could kill Adam Smasher. I dunno maybe in DLC there will be that Yorinobu had implanted construct of Saburo who take over him so he could change his frail body - I was expecting that. But no, it's really a dead end. Why even Yorinobu had Relic with Johnny's construct - fuck because. Why even make a copy of Johnny, because plot of this game has to happen.
GREAT FUCKING WRITING. Excellent. Top notch. GOTY story.
It's just - what do we know about CP2020 - Arasaka, Johnny Silverhand, Adam Smasher. Everyone is 200 years old now because that's who people - some know. It's Star Wars last trilogy. And people even don't know Cyberpunk pnp. It was dead anyway, that's why CDPR bought the IP, they saved Pondsmith livehood. The genre itself is least liked one from all the fantasy and scifi genres.

Yes, it really gave me the "im lost here" feeling when it started, and it didn't get any better=5 hours in and i couldn't care less about the story, let alone the "made up" side problems other people have.

More than that. Saburo Arasaka fought in WW2, so he has to be well over 150 presumably (although, granted, he is looking pretty crusty by this point). All of Johnny's associates would be in their late 70s/early 80s at least. I can't remember if the PnP fluff talked about increased life expectancy, but I'd imagine if you have magic cybernetics for everyone then you can handwave the technology for the at least the wealthy getting another 50+ years out of their meatsack over the current day. But yeah, as I said earlier in the thread, the game would have made a hell of a lot more sense if it was set in the 2030s/2040s, since most of the main characters are straight out of the 2020 official campaigns.
seems low though.. 110 years is how long people born right now will live, at least that's the new estimate. plastic surgery is only going to get more advanced since it's a big industry. then take into account this is not a game which is aiming for 100% realism either, it's in line with books like Neuromancer, which this is based upon you can say, some characters in the trilogy are super old but look young.

ok, that sounds more "reasonable", in neuromancer one of the key characters is 135.
110 years is how long people born right now will live, at least that's the new estimate.
By whom?
Because people now work harder then 30-40 years ago, work is more stressful, they go to pension later. I compare my everyday life with life of my parents and their parents, totaly different times.
Also, add kids into today's equation and that's recepy for looking drained of life in your fifties.

saw it on the news, you can probably find it via google. for every decade life expectancy goes up, i don't think there's ever been a time when it's gone down. overall i don't think work has a lot of influence of overall life expectancy, but i dont know. If work has such a huge role i will live to 200.. working is overrated unless you aim to become a millionaire, and i guess in some shithole countries there's no option, starve or work. many countries are passed that now though.
I know at least one person over 100 (105), both my mother and my father survived crap with very slim survival chances.. my mother was predicted to live for another 4 years, this was around 15 years ago now. i will assume that if not stuff goes to absolute shit people in 100 years will have way, way better chances of survival than now, makes 110 seem low.
I was asking about age from lore stand point. Google a bit and apparently there weren't any magical procedures in corebooks. On the contrary it's hinted that soulkiller was suppose to be a tech to prolonge the rule of Saburo. Allegedly.
And the life expectancy overall in the world of CP2020 was short due to pollution, food shortages and crime. Some wealthy could change organs to cybernetics to live longer but not to 200's as you have to account for cyberpsychosis.

There was nanotech in 2020, although looking at The World of Cyberpunk 2077 it seems like it was retconned to only just becoming a big thing by 2077, and more so in Europe than the US/Japan. It seems logical that sort of thing would bring various ways of extending a person's lifespan.
