Never going to happen. Once a few mods and really popular people on here bitch about a game, then the entire thread title gets changed for a few giggles.
It could be a really polished game, but if certain people have a bug, then the mods change the title.
Every thread should be alpha because every game has bugs, or no thread should have EA unless it really is EA. Anything in between is just the mods trying to make certain people happy.

I've been here a while (2003'ish?) and I've gotta say I also don't care for the whole [EA] tags in the titles trend that has been going on the past few years. I mean look, it's all well and good to have a little laugh and bemoan the shit state of the industry now'a'days - I don't disagree. The problem is that there are enough shitty GENUINE "early access" releases floating around now - and it just creates confusion. Especially when someone hasn't been following a game for a while or it's the first time hearing of it.
Maybe put that stuff on like the first post template for shits and giggles - but thread titles should be reflective of the actual (commercial) state of the game just to avoid creating confusion.

i would say it still deserves the tag as its still performing really badly , even after patch it still drops PS to single digits randomly every 5 seconds (used to be every 2 seconds before the patch)

Heavy FPS drops here too, even after the patch. Everything on Low settings doesn't change that. IMO there's again (like in the case of Cyberpunk) something that fucks up performance on Pascal cards.
I think we can take our PC's and throw them into the fire. Isn't that right, Sin317?

Good thing we poor people with underpowered PCs have the poor man's game RDR2 to play at 60+ FPS with a combination of Ultra, High and Medium settings. |

I'd say it's my GOTY in 2020 and I am at about 60% according to Ubisoft Connect. Have some more time in the upcoming days and can't wait to get back to this one. I have played every single AC game there is and bought Origins and Odyssey on rls, never finished both of them, got bored towards the end.
Not with this one, it's my #3 behind Black Flag and Unity and IMHO Ubisoft deserves credit for Valhalla. It's just a good game, btw I never had any issues or bugs, game running smoothly on my Ryzen 5 3600 - MSI Tomahawk Max - 1080ti - 16 GB RAM setup.
I'd say buy it, if you enjoy AC games, if you use the 100 Credits - 20% off coupon, it might even be cheaper?!
Not everyone will agree with this opinion, but I am not disappointed by this one, bought it for 48 Euros and that's ok with me for all the hours I have been playing so far. If they keep on rlsing AC games of this quality, I will be happy to keep buying and playing. They could have done a lil more with the items, but less loot has its pro and cons. The new loot-system is ok for me, not perfect, but ok.
Thumbs up to Ubisoft for this one.
Oh and one little advice, you might want to start with the harder difficulties, it's not that easy at the beginning, but if you're getting used to it, the combat system is a lot of fun, even later in the game.

You're right, it's a region thing. Seems like in my country we have the same restrictions as NA: "That is, unless you’re in North America. If you are, then you can’t use your 100 Upoints to get the Ubisoft Club Store 20% discount on AC Valhalla. Why? Because, “The discount code is not valid for pre-orders, in-game currency, UPLAY+ or newly released titles.”

got this for 15 bucks so i gave in to the yearly asscreed grind-o-rama
and while i have a feeling i will never finish this, so far i am kind of enjoying it.
since the patch HDR actually displays correctly on an OLED and the game looks pretty incredible
HOWEVER , wtf is wrong with the sporadic crashing to desktop ?! Started out every other day after quite a while of gameplay, but now i sometimes get these crashes right after booting into the game? Game freezes and throws me back to desktop
i am aware that this is a known issue but i wasn't able to fix it with community workarounds i have tried:
- delete cache folder
- sync system time (apparently otherwise you may get disconnects from denuvo server which terminates the game -- great fucking copy protection if this is true)
- set fixed pagefile
--still crashing... anybody got an idea?

I also got Ubisoft+ and trying Immortals and Valhalla, both are fun games IMO. If Ubisoft didn't try to bloat every game with tons of shit, these games could be really good. Immortals is a big suprise for me, Valhalla is what I expected. I'm never going to finish these two games, but it'll be fun while it lasts.
I hope this "gotta collect em all" BS in this comes to an end, but I doubt it. Give me a great game for 50 hours instead of this 100+ grindfest bullshit.

I had CTDs every 30 minutes and after trying absolutely every google suggestion without any improvement, they finally stopped after moving the game from the hdd to the ssd.

I also get random CTD with 6800XT, sometimes it hangs and CTD, sometimes it directly quit to desktop without any crashing report to be sent to Ubisoft.
During 105hrs playtime I got like 25 crashes total.
